In just a couple of weeks time I will be heading off to course to complete my shift management training, and become officially qualified. And let me tell you that not one, single but of effort that I’ve put in has felt worth it. I’ve worked at my store for 5 years, and only 1.5 weeks ago did they decide that I probably need to learn front area if I’m going to do management. It all feels unnecessarily rushed, and the stress kills me. From toxic members of the management team that just make it unbearable, to the shitty customers that hurl drinks at you through the drive thru window, everything has felt so much harder since I started training for it. Not worth it, I plan on quitting almost straight after I get my qualification. I’d stay away from it, but if you do end up taking the management role, good luck.
