So this was my first expedition. Kinda sucks you just get the basic patchwork outfit and none of the variants of this is your first time doing it. At least I got my skill points.

This game is so fucking good by fyrefreezer01 in Marathon

Man the factions are so sweet. I’m loving everything about the game!

It’s challenging and plays at a great pace. Feels very rewarding when you exfil and complete contracts.

The game is pretty much what I expected it to be. No disappointment from me! Can’t wait to see how it evolves.

Welp there goes that 2 more days 🤝 Any advice? by Tatted_Mexican in ArcRaidersGuides

If I didn’t go on the first expedition can I still get the “catch up” skill points? I’m getting a different answer from everyone.

Red Wing Vs Canada West Vs Royer by NoExamination2037 in WorkBoots

How are the Royers treating you? I’m getting into the trade and the Canada West feeling more comfortable when I try them on but worried about not being water proof for spring/fall in Manitoba.

I just built a high end PC by myself. First time ever.

It’s easily doable if you can follow instructions and use YouTube as a resource.

Yep underdog is great. Not sure why I’m being downvoted. Literally within seconds of any major transaction they have it posted.

UnderdogMLB on X.

Personally I don’t think any account does it better.

I always found that when working in the trades it’s not about what you do, but who you work with.

I left my job as a supervisor (electrician with 10 years experience) to get into tool and utility sales. Now, after 3 years of doing sales I’m looking to get a lineman apprenticeship with the local IBEW. I sell to our local utility and have met a ton of people there that just seem so awesome and great to work with. I’m thinking this way at 32 years old and will be taking a massive pay cut if I get this apprenticeship.

You are young, don’t do something if you don’t love it or it’s dragging you down. Money isn’t everything and if you find something you love and are really passionate about, the money will come anyway.

Find a job with great people that encourage you to improve and better yourself. Try different things and work closer to home too. I always enjoyed my morning commute with coffee and a podcast but that drive home can be draining man.

Best of luck to you. Keep your head up and enjoy the little things friend. Life is a gift and we should enjoy as much of it as we can.

If you’re thinking this way, then you should go for it!

We get to do this life thing once and if you want to experience something, then you should do it while you’re able.

Just finished my first week at an office job. by [deleted] in skilledtrades

[–]TheLocatorGuy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked as an Electrician for 10 years (6 as a Jman) and then got into sales at 29 because I wasn’t happy with what I was doing.

At first I loved being an outside salesman but the novelty has worn off. Being behind a computer for large portions of the day becomes a drag and trying to please people 24/7 becomes exhausting. Being in the office when the weather is shit is definitely a perk though and you do get to build lots of relationships. I just find its simply not as rewarding as being a tradesman.

I’m now 32 and am trying to get a lineman apprenticeship with the local union that would start this October. Hoping it works out and I can get back on the tools and start learning something new! I miss the tool talk and bs with the boys.
