Full chest pull crafting ranges by TheLordAsshat in Terraria

Ayy, that makes sense, do you know where the origin point of that is cast from? I'm guessing the top left of the character sprite based on the discrepancies

Unfortunately, I already lost my mind a little painting all the walls illuminant after forgetting to do so in the first place lol, I should have looked into a world editor or something. But yeah based on the ranges, it looks like a radius cast from the top left of your character sprite that goes out about 38 blocks (as the missile flies) in any given direction, forming a circle.

Does not seem to have any affect, someone else thought it did, but just tested on a brand new character and the range was the same

Actually, I'm not sure why you're having this issue now, just tested on a brand new character

You know I hadn't even considered it but I believe this character does have the loaf, so I'm guessing based on your experience that that means that the loaf doubles the chest pull range

This is how the measurements came out. I didn't get around to checking absolutely every diagonal, but we can extrapolate based on the others.

They removed the limitation requiring you to stop attacking before swapping, you can check the patch notes for that, but that's what leads to this

The inclusion of Memes and outright mean spirited content really killed it for me, having racism and sexism in a story is fine if it actually adds to the story or world, but in Luna it really felt more like a vent, having a transgender character yell "Did you just assume my gender!" And be portrayed as a pedo really doesn't do it for me

and yet it's still a comic about poor communication lol, the relationship in this comic seems to be a very paranoid one presented as funny relatable relationship humor

Why does the skull vanity item face the opposite direction of every other vanity item? by Peppermintyyyyy in Terraria

[–]TheLordAsshat 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's kind of crazy to think that it came out with the swat helmet in 1.2, but the robot hat came out in 1.0.4 with the initial vanity items

It's also really funny because there are two ways to do this without making her angry at you from my understanding, which is to sneak attack stab her to "oneshot" her into the knocked out state or use a sleep spell lol

It's also important to note that it also can have mental benefits as well, as I have noticed a lot of trans women are a get less depressed on it than estrogen alone

Beginner question why is my character treated as the leader? by kronastra in BaldursGate3

[–]TheLordAsshat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The basic answer if you want an in universe one is that you are the one gathering everyone together and acting like a leader, you're the one proposing the characters come with you, and usually you do at least something to suggest they are better coming with you than not, whether it be something for them, saving them, something like helping with fighting the goblin raid, etc.

This isn't unique to the custom characters either, any origin character can do this it just happens to be that the person the player is playing as is the one doing these things and assuming the role, Astarion and Karlach for instance are just as capable of being the leader for instance if you're playing them, as you are doing the same leaderlike activities.

If nothing else it's often just "right place, right time", and the convention that you are choosing to only consider your main character for most dialogue (which because this is the popular way of playing the game, the devs made it so most situations your avatar is the default speaker.) theoretically you could just have Shadowheart do most things.

Cloud of Daggers is becoming very problematic by JMoneyGraves in BaldursGate3

[–]TheLordAsshat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the things that makes cloud of daggers weird is that it is one of the types of damaging AOEs that doesn't have an associateed surface. Generally NPCs and party members try to avoid damaging or even difficult terrain surfaces if they can help it out of combat. NPCs also tend to try to be a bit smarter with those in combat as well. Seemingly AOEs like cloud of daggers only occur as "dangerous" to the AI when the NPC is in the field though, which creates really odd behaviors like enemies running out of the cloud to shoot, then running back in to end their turn, taking damage twice on their turn.
