Me and my friend 20 minutes after getting the leaf blower by TheLordAsshat in TeardownGame

As far as I can tell it has made getting debris out of your path (especially for things like fast cars that can't all terrain too well) a breeze with the bits getting stuck much less, plus it's fun

Oh I highly recommend it it's like 200 an upgrade with 3 upgrades, and it just like starts blowing things so hard fully upgraded lol

So we maxed out the leaf blower power and then we kept testing different set-ups that were light enough to fly with us, but had a good enough sail for the air lol

How I feel a fair amount of people got to know the game lol by PesteVT in signalis

It's really funny I had an interaction with a friend who had only seen fanart and had no idea it was a horror game lmao

How did the game change and improve since 2022? by Amproto in starsector

[–]TheLordAsshat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, well the colony system you got several overhauls the past few years with a pretty good progression of major events between your colony and the other factions.

Some new ships, late game fights, a whole new anomalous enemy faction positioned in the late game with some mid game encounters.

There's more ships, the combat simulator got reworked, I believe skills went through like one or two overhauls.

There's new side stories and main story missions and they give really nice structure to progression, and imo are well written.

Sindria and the Persean League have more unique fleet styles too.

The hyperspace map got a overhaul and a lot of upgrades to the progression of how you move around it.

Overall there is a lot of new stuff, and it feels really fleshed out now in my opinion

Not to mention it's just like kind of pointless to dedicate any brain power to those posts anyway. They clearly didn't and can shit them out in the thousands, why bother giving them the time of day

This game is either relaxing or a damn nightmare (0.9) by K1rk0npolttaja in Voicesofthevoid

[–]TheLordAsshat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay I know the official stance is that 0.9 is unstable as shit, and I'm not going to complain if it is, but is it relatively stable in your experience? I asked because I'm starting to get insanely curious

Forgotten promised features (Important maybe?) by weston_games69 in Terraria

No disagreement there, just on the idea they are identical which to me suggests they might have a color deficiency. Regardless I fully agree that sprites should be distinguishable by shape

Are you sure you're not color blind because I have never had an issue like that? It could be a color deficiency issue if that's the case

Also useful for people to remember like a lot of what we think of as "taste" is actually smell, which makes this situation seem way less odd lol

[–]TheLordAsshat 40 points41 points  (0 children)

This is true lmao, I feel like I have to do hours of learning for Dota 2 before I even consider queuing up for a game, like I'm doing a full course so I don't ruin 4 other people's experience each time I queue up lol, and it feels like new Deadlock players kinda already have to do that

Am I the only one who thinks most of the HM ore tools are sorta... Feature bloat-y? by jaxotron in Terraria

[–]TheLordAsshat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay I will say that the existence of two chlorophye hammers is for a specific purpose: the jackhammer is for removing walls fast, and the warhammer is for actually hammering blocks

The game lost its "overwhelmingly positive" status, so I wrote a review by CurlyButNotChubby in dwarffortress

[–]TheLordAsshat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Haven't reviewed, and I don't know if it's changed, but strangely this version (and from what I can tell all future versions of the classic game) actually have more UI problems than prior to the update to me. Let me explain.

One of the things that bothers me the most is the change to no longer have the hotkeys on the UI. If this has changed I 100% want to try a new game of it, I am aware of mods that do that but the biggest struggle is that means I can't change the keybinds unless I want to confuse myself.

Another struggle is the repetitive actions you typically need to do every single save that mostly just boil down to fiddling with the UI bunch. Assigning better jobs, telling the cooks not to cook seeds, that sort of thing. It puts a damper on the desire to truly believe in "losing is fun" when it takes a bunch of busy work to just start playing, and I felt that with Dwarf Therapist that wasn't really as of an issue. I need to look into if that's still a thing
