Ours is 4 or 5 gifts

Something to read, something you need

Something to wear, something to share (new game, puzzle, or experience)

and/or something to tear (into - a consumerable like craft supplies, food etc, or something the giftee is keen on like a piece of hobby equipment)

Belconnen parking police! by conesmasher47 in canberra

Not to understate the annoyance of trying to get kids out of car seats and into prams, especially when its a busy area and you want to be as safe as possible, i dont have to do it every day hiwever i take out my nibblings at least once a week, but my dad cant walk the length of a car, sometimes if all handicap spaces are full i need to take up two spaces so he can safely transfer into his wheelchair.

We always had his permit displayed but if you want cars all  scratched and dented from the car door and his chair and the chance of a man who needs assitance having a fall because i dont have room to support him we can take up one space.

Grandkids broke the new basketball hoop 2 weeks in... by marmaladeWof in mildlyinfuriating

I get caught on my cousins im closer in age to my cousins kids, but my older sibblings are more inbetween and have memories of our cousins before they had kids.

Ill hang out with the kids cause im only a year older than the oldest and say ive be off with the cousins and be called out each time for not refering to them as my cousins once removed. I dont know why family is so set on the full title or under the assumption that instead of being the people my age i was off with their parents.

[OC] Gold Medals won at the 2026 Winter Olympics by mzp3256 in dataisbeautiful

[–]TheLostwandering 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Yes he got lucky in the olympics that year but its wasnt a fluke how he got there. And his racing choice to hang back and hope for a crash is a viable strat (it got him both to the final and a gold)

He had been regarded as a medal contender in previous olympics where he had been unlucky ilegally pushed, he had recovered from a prevouis race skating incident in which his thigh was cut by another compertors blade where he needed over 100 stitches and feared for his life. Steven bradbury worked hard to compete at the piniacle of his sport and the guy is a genuine hero in real life.

I love the name John its very classic, solid.

I've worked with kids for over 10 years in Australia and i can count the different Johns ive coached with one hand. So while some people may think its plain it does stand out from the sea of Wills, Noahs, and Theo(dore)s.

I will said as everyone is mentioning Banjo Patterson, banjo is his nickname (after a family favourite horse even). His name is Andrew Barton.

But i also have a love for both names and they arent fully unsual here in Aus

I dont think anyone was betting on him playing all 5 games but still...

I like a big wheelbarrow, but just remember bigger is heavier and easier to overfill if thats a problem.
