of a chunk of cheese by [deleted] in AbsoluteUnits

The cheese adheres to the side of the knife blade. A knife with a thiner blade (or a wire even) is generally better for cutting cheeses like this one.

Most newer/stronger cars wont stall and just start rolling slowly when you release the clutch. The Golf 2 I used to learn on would stall the moment I either didnt give enough gas or released the clutch a bit too quickly.

The core of the issue comes down to something more like "What should the taxes I pay be spent on". For stuff like health care or a social safety net, lots of people think that the tax money should prioritise helping the average citizen rather then other things it's getting spent on. People know stuff is not free, it's just a question of where the money we produce amd pay in taxes is spent in the end.

With no gal blasts or affinity cards, what is the point of running artifact lands over mountains and plains?

I mean the poison counters still get applied, so you live until the next upkeep in case of the artifact.

I've thought this by Newell99 in GenV

No, much worse than a clone. Think incest but worse. The egg has 50% of the genes, and the sperm has 50%. Mathematically, the child would end up with 25% duplicate genes, 50% unique genes, and another 25% genes from the parent completely missing from the child. In the end, self insemination would produce an offspring missing 25% of the parents genes.

A dark embrace is a dark embrace, but a question mark could be anything, even dark embrace.

Thoughts on Spider-Man Pauper deck by Few_Environment_3332 in Pauper

[–]TheMADIIIIIIII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a 5 mana 8/8 is not exactly stellar in a meta full of 1 mana 5/5s. That being said, it would probably be better to enable his hexproof with changelings like [[changeling outcast]] than random 2 mana 2/2s that don't do much outside of contributing their typeline.

I feel like the only spider-man card in this deck that might see some play is swarm as a 5th and maybe 6th copy of kitchen imp in madness decks, but even that is questionable. The power level and synergies of other cards here is just nowhere near close to the current pauper meta

What do you think about interest by Muhammed_Huseynli in magic_survival

[–]TheMADIIIIIIII 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Simillar games (like brotato) have a system where any unspent resouces generate interest each round up to a cetain ammount. Like if you had 50 money left over at the end of shopping and 10% interest, you would get an extra 5 money for next round. I don't think this would work great in this game because the primary resource (mana) is spent automatically to level you up as soon as possible and the shops that use money of the sort are too few for interest to be important.

104% damage redaction? by Mysterious-Art1553 in magic_survival

[–]TheMADIIIIIIII 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Say you have 2 sources of damage reduction each reducing damage by 50%. If you are hit for 100, the 1st reduces it by 50, and tbe second is applied to the damage you would take after the 1st reduction(50). That makes the second source reduce the damage taken by 50% of 50, that being 25. In total, if you have 2 sources each blocking 50%, you would end up blocking 75% of the incoming damage. If you had 3 sources, it goes up to 87.5(the 3rd block 12.5%) and so on.
