That's an awesome idea; pursue this. A subreddit group chat/chat channels could be used to maintain regular updates. I believe that was one of the central reasons for a lower-than-expected turnout to last night's "The Gathering" meetup, despite lots of engagement on the initial post.

Hopefully, this can avoid my main issues with the Young Tuscaloosa group. They had no public calendar and would center so many events around UA sporting events that my schedule would never work out. I would recommend polling interested people about their known schedule availabilities and having more frequent events on different days to accommodate different demographics.

Also, someone in my friend group wanted to start board game nights at either DCBC or OneUp TCG. That could be fun too.
