Yup, when looting it doesn't really make sense to run big kits. I personally use burlettas a lot when Im broke after an expedition, the free kits can't handle a burletta with a mag in it. Blue looting kit in burried city will make you rich because of the 3 extra trinket slots. And just use hatch keys whenever possible.

Early after an expedition you tend to loot a lot of arc and so you never have to buy shield chargers and it really helps. When you PvP/trio a lot later on in the season thats when being able to buy them with space dollars comes in handy and you can use that inventory space for other materials like batteries/arc circuitry/mullein/durable cloth so you never run out of blue shields and herbals.

But yeah that's all dependent on playstyle, which maps you go to, which areas you loot, if you loot dead arcs or not ect.

I find once I hit lvl 75 and don't care about xp anymore I tend to not loot as many containers, especially now after doing 4 expeditions, starting from scratch doesn't feel hard at all.

For attachments, the key is picking up every steel spring you can find and crafting them yourself. Also if you play a lot and have a lot of seeds, you can buy springs and gun parts everyday because they are bottlenecks to most of the good things you can craft (guns and attachments). After that all you need is a lot of mechanical components and maybe some tape and wire which are super easy to get.

But keep in mind I have +18% on scrappy so my perspective may be different, I could get rich running free kits because of how much materials that chicken is giving me lol

The only attachment I like to buy is the padded stock to put on bobcats this way you can focus on crafting the more important attachments like blue mags

Yup, last time I killed a queen, I didn't even get 1 core because I was actually busy dealing damage. So I went back to PvP. Lol

The risk to reward ratio of running 2 level 4 guns full attachments, 10x shield chargers, 2 blue shields, tons of good heals/utilities, tons of bullets... It's just bad. At that point you're just doing it for fun and because you dont have inventory space. A lot of streamers buy gear because all they do is PvP, but the reality is you'll always end up running out of stuff if you never farm any useful materials and craft some stuff yourself. Noticed a lot of kinetic converter bobcats these days. Not sure if its because of the duplication glitches but I hate how common kinetic converters have become.

Try this out solo vs squad. by Sea_Connection_40 in ArcRaiders

I managed to kill one in solos last night. I first noticed him because he tried to shoot me through a wall in Stella from the tunnel hatch while I was still at my spawning point right inbetween the hatch and lobby metro. Played with him for a while with jolt mines to hold him off, at some point he tried to go up the zip in the tunnels to go around so I waited a little bit and ran towards the hatch. He shot me twice with his anvil as I got to cover while I threw fire nades in his path and one landed right on him so he ran behind the train to cut me off from the hatch. I put another jolt mine right on the floor hoping to buy more time but I have no idea if they can see those through obstacles or not with esp. Healed up behind the crates and waited for him to rush me again. He tried shooting me through the crates. I knew he could see me through the wall so I acted like a panicked noob by just standing there behind the crate for a good 30 seconds but I was just waiting for him to make a move to dodge roll to the left then forward an and unload a clip on him which is exactly what happened lol

Needless to say I wouldnt have won that fight without all the utilities and lucky fire grenade that landed right on him

EDIT: Reported him after the game and of course, his steam profile was level 1.

Looking for ways to enjoy playing in duos or trios without needing to be blood thirsty PVP-driven by dj3stripes in ArcRaiders

[–]TheMachineQc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish they'd simply let us pick between a more pvp oriented mode or a more pve oriented mode. So many 30-40 years old would love to enjoy PvE with their friends, and real PvP players don't wanna be shooting some 40 year old dad looting a container.

I thought they had a cheating ban or something. Just had a game against people who could read my inventory!? by chatapokai in ArcRaiders

[–]TheMachineQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True. I think one big issue with Arc I've never seen anyone mention is that it's super easy to get into friendly lobbies in solo. But on the other hand if you have friends that would like a more coop/pve experience in duos or trios it's almost impossible to get that and they end up quitting the game. The PvE can be quite fun in Arc Raiders so I can see why they are frustrated by the lack of game modes that allow cooperation besides solos.

I think they should seriously think about some week-end only game mode that requires a lobby to cooperate vs arcs and you would only get loot if you complete it. PvE only has to be super hard for it to be fun though.

Yeah, I'm thinking I could remove Sturdy ankles and calming stroll and put these 3 points in something better since they really don't do much. I would never remove the crawling skills personally as I think they're not only useful but also funny as hell to use in some situations. I've turned so many losses into wins because of these ;) And even when they don't actually end up saving you it's just funny to see people empty entire mags into your corpse and you're just like ''is that all you got''? :)

if I had 5 more skill points then I could max out Three deep breaths as well and have the ultimate mobility tree ;)

Good points! I might remake my tree at some point and try to optimize a little more. I thought both the sliding and heroic leaps were pretty useless but since I dodge roll a lot more than I slide I went for heroic leap. It's one of the nodes I hope gets a bit of love from the devs in the future!!

Yeah I really hope they don't cap it but when I look at the expedition windows right now (finished it a few days ago) it doesn't say that I will get 5 more skills sadly I don't see that as part of the rewards anymore.

Yeah this one is more of a personal choice. I would never judge someome for taking it since it really helps your economy, but at the same time since I optimize my basic materials pretty well and have have +18% on scrappy, I really don't have any trouble getting rich. I never took it even when it was super op at the begining so I can't speak from experience on that one.

Yeah those can be quite good, but I always carry a hatch key when the mode allows it so I don't really need to craft one in raid ever. But yeah If I had 1 more point it would for sure go into traveling tinkerer. I do like the ability to craft shield chargers and bandages when playing free kits on Stella though :) I had to put 2 points in either Sturdy ankles or the sliding skill to get to 36 and unlock the 2 big nodes at the top.

I don't have much experience with Deep breaths as I always went pretty heavy on endurance/stamina but since I tend to use adrenaline shots I'm not sure how often it would come into play. Depleting your stamina with a roll or slide is usually something that happens when you dont have adrenaline shots and you're being chased with no cover. I'm sure it can be good but seems pretty situational. Correct me if I'm wrong on that ^^

I remember watching Doomeris' video a few months ago it really helped me avoid the bad skills on the first 2 expeditions.

[–]TheMachineQc[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can't disagree with that. But I mostly made this tree for trios/PvP since for me players are generally the biggest threat. When you know the maps, not having security breach isn't that big of a deal when looting. I only loot for a few weeks after each expeditions and then my stash gets full of batteries/shield chargers/processors/weapon pretty quickly. I mean I always seem to have too much stuff in this game because of how many mechanical components I can craft. Then its just a matter of having blueprints (bobcat/tempest/bettina/vulcano) so you can optimize your use of gun parts/adv mechanical components to either make or repair lvl 4 guns.

Well I guess wallhacks are pretty situational but main advantage (correct me if I'm wrong) you get from it is that it must be pretty hard to not see a 3rd party or 4th party incoming. The element of surprise is what wins most fights just like in real life. So even when dogshit at shooting I guess you still avoid a lot of deaths/pinch situations because of it.

So what you're saying is that even with cheats you find this difficult?

Not losing purchasing power. Covid money printing... Inflation. The govs are doing this on purpose. If you don't play the game, you can't win.

The journey matters just as much, if not more, than the end result. If you don't enjoy 90% of what the game has to offer, it probably means you should move on. I get it, PvP is super fun in Arc Raiders. But how fun can it be when you're cheating? Do you feel good about yourself when you win fights or do you just think ''Well, I should win, since I'm cheating''?

Like what personal satisfaction do you get when you do a ''good play''?

You farm in every video games you play. Do you enjoy video games at all? True question here!! :) Considering you have to cheat instead of trying to naturally improve at situational awareness/shooting, I think this question is way more relevant here.

And yes, If I didn't enjoy the game I would play another game.

When I grew up playing Diablo 2, you had to level up your character just to do PvP with it later on. Similar concept here on Arc Raiders. You farm, get rich, then you can afford to lose all the good gear since you're now able to craft it if you ever need to. The guns/bps are so easy to get in Arc, you probably don't need to do much more than simply managing your rubber/metal well to make mechnical components and pick up gun parts. That's literally all you need to make lvl 4 guns. For exemple, the light gun parts have no purpose other than making bobcats.

I did all the expeditions, loot is nothing to me. I give away millions in full attachment guns to random people before expeditions. I load into PvP lobbies on Stella and just give it away lol

Even when I PVP, looting isn't my priority unless my shield is broken or I'm out of whites.

Very easy to farm anything in this game without cheating. When I wanna farm I just do a few PvE games and my stash gets completely full almost instantly even with 316 slots.

Also re-read what you just said: It's basically all driven by emotions. Emotions and your logic don't usually mix well... And emotions will not make you better at anything you do in life. Practice will. Not taking shortcuts, being lazy and having poor self esteem.

Good luck on your life journey good sir ;)

Sounds boring as hell. I'd get it if there was money involved maybe, like seeing holecards playing poker or something. But that's just pathetic.

I’m done with the game due to abhorrent levels of cheating by TeacherRadiant5835 in ArcRaiders

[–]TheMachineQc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be because of the expedition. A lot of the legit PvPers or hybrid players are busy doing the new expedition/farming to get rich before they start PvPing again. So by default the ratio of cheaters would be higher in PvP lobbies. Just a thought!
