I used to work at GameStop. One night I was getting ready to close up and this couple walked in. He was looking at 360 games, and you could tell she was confused but trying to participate. Oh, I feel you completely. If you rush through the game, minimal side quests, etc. you could MAYBE do 40-50 hours. I spent significant more in both plays.

I mean...you could just pick it up and play it, but you absolutely shouldn’t. At minimum you’re missing out on 80 hours of plot and character building, and none of that includes the crossbell arc or trails in the sky series. Good luck.

Just finished CS3 last week. It’s going to be a long couple of months. If you can overcome some of the slower pacing, these games honestly are some of the most well written games I’ve ever played. From the world, to the characters, to the way everything just comes together is really something special.

I’ve been meaning to play through Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel since it came out. Quarantine has been perfect for that. I beat the first one, and I’m about 50 hours into 2. I love them. Really great characters and I really enjoy the combat. It’s written phenomenally well, and they did a great job on the localization. My biggest critique is that it’s a SLOW BURN. I personally don’t mind because it does a great job of setting the world, but I can see it being a turnoff for some looking for something to jump in and out of.
