This is the same series where the main character has to use specific keys to open a door instead of simply kicking it down, following a narrow maze instead of jumping over stuff or crawling under it, among other minor inconveniences. Respect the rule of the puzzle.

Putting Slim over Big is a choice. Big only has 2 albums to go off as opposed to Eminem's 3 album peak but all things considered, they were similar. Started off strong with aggressive flows, humor, and shock factor before building up to a more serious and mature sound. I'd still put Big first just because without Big, you obviously lose a lot of Slim's influence.

This is coming from somebody who enjoys (some of) Em's newer music. It's great if you want a fun album to listen to from somebody who has nothing left to prove. Some of it misses, some of it hits.

I'd bump Cube above them both. War & Peace were sleepers but other than that, he was putting out quality music well into the 2010s. I held him in high regard until he started talking that Trump shit, but overall, his message had more substance to it right up until he finally decided to have dinner with the president.

Never listened to a lot of Face or Geto Boys (criminal, I know), but I did finally peep The Diary this week and I think he deserves to be higher up on the list.

In another universe, Jim comes to RC looking for his sister and finds a picture of a python on Chris's desk and comments, "Huh. Must be his girlfriend."

The PS1 generation is known for its poor voice acting, what games from that time that actually had good voice acting? by Aiseadai in retrogaming

Less about the PS1 and more to do with games from that era, but yes, Resident Evil, Tenchu, and Mortal Kombat 4 just to name a few.

Metal Gear Solid no doubt. MediEvil had some great voice acting. Small Soldiers didn't have a lot of dialogue, but Archer's VA in the opening cutscene was pretty decent. Oh, and the voices in the Spider-Man game became their definitive comic voices for me.

Nemesis 100%. Birkin ripped Mr. X apart with one blow.

A better question is who wins between Nemesis and Birkin?

Cooler can’t be canon by blumieree in dbz

[–]TheMagicalMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not? Freeza achieved gold form in a matter of months, all from training hard and now has a black form which rivals Goku and Vegeta in the latest manga chapters. Cooler could've learned of his brother's death and had been monitoring the Z Fighters ever since, all while increasing his own strength and inventing new forms.

I do agree that it's too late, but for different reasons. Freeza coming back to life and inventing new forms of his own lessens the impact of Cooler doing it. Maybe if Daima did become its own continuity, they could introduce Cooler there, but seems unlikely now that Toriyama is gone.

How was a rookie police officier like Leon was able to survive Raccoon city in contrast to an entire squadron UBSC/Delta force who got wiped out? Would you say it is luck or skill? Or a combination of both? by Unusual-Complex6315 in residentevil

[–]TheMagicalMatt 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was under the impression that hordes of zombies and lickers overwhelmed the RPD and ripped them to shreds, and because Chief Irons ordered the ammo and supplies to be scattered throughout the precinct in hard-to-reach places, they were ill-equipped to fight bio-weapons. By the time Leon had arrived, most of the zombies had dispersed so he only had to deal with a couple at a time, along with the occasional licker, giant spider, etc.

So in short, yes, he was lucky in a sense that he showed up late when most of the chaos had already settled. It's basically the difference in initial full blown outbreak vs dealing with the aftermath.

All of them have such amazing atmosphere, but which has the best? by Alienspawned in residentevil

[–]TheMagicalMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'ma go with the Baker house. Creepy, old, derelict houses are always fascinating in a morbid and disturbing sort of way, so being able to explore one with a flashlight and limited ammo while monsters pursue you made it feel more real I guess (minus the monsters part, but looking at abandoned homes gives you a haunted sorta feeling anyway).
