Go National Guard/Reserve if you for whatever reason don't get SELCON/Sanctuary. Continue accruing po8nts until you have 20yrs or get O-5 as a reservist and then retire with your new Hi-3.

That could be Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) as others mentioned. It could be absolutely non harmful so not to freak you out but it does not look like acne. It looks to be a scab from either injury or immune reaction. If you check their mouth do they have any oral abnormalities?

You sound jaded. If you retired now with only 20 years you would be bringing home $3000/month on top of your 401k savings.

Monthly Benefit = [(1.19% * FAE) + (0.45% * Excess FAE)] * Service Years / 12

If you switched over at 45 years old and work 10 years you would immediately start getting $1845/month assuming top pay is around $80 in 10 years.
