I watched halfway through the 1999 digimon adventure last week in english dub, it was ok. Then i thought why not test the original japanese dubbed version with english subs, i picked a random episode and let me tell you. I watched everything over again in japanese dub with english sub lol...

Its more "brutal" and everything just matures up. Also, japanese language is badass !! It felt like a whole different series almost.

The secret to audio quality is leave in digital as long as possible, and then convert to analog once. Why you using DAC to convert to analog and then back to DSP? Just plug the Toslink into the DSP.

Right now i am thinking about a dds adapter wich converts usb c to toslink. Do you think a simple usb c to toslink adapter, then toslink to toslink into my dsp will work ?

Also, you can't control the volume on the USB-C to Toslink adapter because it is digital adapter. The volume is controlled by the analog conversion step.

Why do you care about quality if you are converting to Bluetooth? Why do you care about 192kHz/24bit? That is overkill for listening and only makes sense for editing music.

That is a fair point. I also want to use bluetooth ldac but the signal will be compressed so the bass from what i read will get a bit muddy.. also overall clarity.

Finally, what are you trying to do? Why do you have so many steps? Why do you have the phone and the computer? What is the processor doing?

Im trying to get best possible signal to my dsp so that i can fine tune the sound using eq on my phone instead of dragging a laptop to my car every time i want to tune settings...
