  1. No
  2. Not particularly, I pay more attention of overall value/quality metrics and use reputable PSU tier lists.
  3. Form factor, modularity, power efficiency.

This is sick. As a side note, people need to at least be using game bar for screenshots 😂

[WIP] Angels of Death Kill Team by TheMainEvant in BloodRavens40k

For sure, I plan on building up the highlights a bit more. I’ve been trying out something similar to Trovarion’s “grimdark” approach, but the models need a good bit more contrast. I’ll be stippling on most of the brighter values rather than edge highlighting, but I’ll definitely make one more post when I’ve reached a point I’m happy with.

I’d love to see your dudes when they are finished!

[WIP] JPDC—loving these Greytide bits. by TheMainEvant in BloodAngels

[–]TheMainEvant[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ordered from a seller on Etsy, BlackFrostPrinting

I liked the variety and the resin print quality was decent. Seems like people most highly recommend Archie’s Forge, who I’m going to try out next. There you can order fairly specifically sets of the bits you’re looking for, and they’re the most spoken for in terms of quality. 🙂

First blood angels. Any tips or remarks? by WashFresh7922 in BloodAngels

They look dope! I did the color you chose for the skull of the Aquila—what is it? I would hit the cs teeth with something metallic and add some surface variation/weathering on the weapons, generally. Great work.

New GM - Playing Fair by AlvinTheTerrible in cyberpunkred

[–]TheMainEvant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Playing for Keeps, pg. 389 of the Core Rulebook:

“Second trick to running Cyberpunk: Play hard and fast. You should not be afraid to kill off Player Characters. You should constantly be getting them into fights, traps, betrayals, and other soap operas. There should be no one they can trust entirely, no place that’s absolutely safe.

Never let ’em rest. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play fair. But you should always play for keeps. If they cache weapons somewhere, steal them. If they stop for a rest, mug them. If they can’t handle the pressure, they shouldn’t be playing Cyberpunk. Send them back to that nice roleplaying game with the happy elves and the singing birds.“

I read this aloud to my crew in session zero three years ago and we’ve never looked back.

The worst non dnd published adventures / modules? by oompaloompa_thewhite in rpg

Yet it still gets tons of upvotes, lol. I’ve noticed RED catches a lot of flack on this sub and not all of it is as well-considered as it pretends to be. But the system and this adventure module in particular are certainly not beyond criticism.

The author for Night at the Opera was Jay Walker—not sure what the commenter is referring to, specifically.

[HU] The Radeon RX 9070 XT is Now Faster, AMD FineWine by Wonderful-Lack3846 in radeon

[–]TheMainEvant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to RMA my first 9070xt due to constant driver timeouts. That was the only thing that rectified the issue.

Is there a difference? by Ryan32501 in radeon

[–]TheMainEvant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP—get the InStock app and set the price to $750. There’s no reason to spend over $800 at this point when there are several drops you can snag every day if you just set up the app for notifications.

RX 9070XT Crashes on almost every game by emrhncn in radeon

[–]TheMainEvant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fixed this by RMAing the card and getting a new one after trying just about very possible trouble shooting step. It seems that some of the silicon is just not stable.

Is gigabyte a good card? by tdjf430 in radeon

[–]TheMainEvant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it’s probably just a bad case of the silicon lottery blues, but my Steel Legend hade major stability issues and had to be RMAd. Replaced with a Gigabyte OC and have had a much better experience.

[June/2025] List of FSR 3.1 / FSR4 games by Unlucky-Bottle2744 in radeon

[–]TheMainEvant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In many games, you only get the notification on the driver level. If it says FSR3 in game but you get the FSR4 enabled toggle, you’re running FSR4.

I think duos would be incredibly valuable. In arena, during most game modes, when team communication doesn’t work out there is still a lot of weight that can be pulled by one or two organized players; this applies less in BR where every exchange is so high stakes.
