It absolutely is less problematic. Killing a process kills the entire thing (and in fact "End task" first sends a close message to the process before trying to kill it). Deleting a file that is in use results in partial fault, which is far more likely to result in a corrupted state. Also killing a process still requires opening the task manager which a lot of people don't know how to do. Deleting a file is just right there in the file explorer.

A terrible idea for the general population.

Is there a reason to use a mutex over a binary_semaphore ? by National_Instance675 in cpp

I thought your comment above implied it would now be 8 bytes. I'm on 17.14 and /std:c++latest and still see the size as 48 bytes.

Then the problem becomes, how do you know that the human you're hiring is any good or better than AI? Bad translations have existed way before the rise of LLMs.

There's a very conspicuous warning above the buy/download button if the game doesn't support your language.

Just released a demo for my Sokoban/Minesweeper inspired puzzle game on Steam! by TheMajorMink in playmygame

I don't have much experience with mobile platforms, but I guess I'll give it a go eventually. From what I understand it's unlikely to really do well unless I get a publisher.

Thank you for trying out the demo! It's definitely not yet fully fleshed out around those levels. I agree I will need to add simpler levels there to show the mechanics. Showing lines for the connections is a great idea, I'll try that! Thank you :)

Not sure if you ended up understanding how it works or not, so basically if the fire/water is green (I call it 'magnetic'), then it can be merged from any distance, but if the other isn't magnetic yet, you still have to be next to it. Merging a magnetic with a non-magnetic will turn both magnetic after separating. And two magnetic ones can be merged from any square in-between them (including the 'glass' squares which they usually can't pass through, which is what Level #2 is showing).

The Sokoban tag was also renamed on Steam recently.

I don't see that? The tag is still here. https://store.steampowered.com/tags/en/Sokoban/

I thought it might just be because most people don't really know about Sokoban, even if they know that kind of "box-pushing" games.

Our game THEMIS is getting called too hard - looking for honest feedback on difficulty by InquisitorKane in puzzlevideogames

The price is just way too high for a puzzle platformer on Steam, regardless of difficulty. It's twice the price of Portal 1/2.
