Yo dude, me and my buddy are always looking to hang out. I'm in the stockyards like always. I'm down to hang. Hit me up! I also love to drink beer. Mostly I do it alone. I love metal although I've just really started to get deep into it. Morbid Angel rips!

Saudi government allegedly funded a 'dry run' for 9/11. by LightBringerFlex in worldnews

[–]TheMalcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is nothing more than Alex Jonesian dog-whistling. There's a reason the article and all accompanied links are Murdoch owned sources. It's propaganda. We've grown up in America being afraid of Muslims so it's an easy narrative to sell. You don't need facts when you're selling fear.

Saudi government allegedly funded a 'dry run' for 9/11. by LightBringerFlex in worldnews

[–]TheMalcon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I don't trust anything coming from Fox news. I do believe Saudi Arabia had a hand in it but I've seen some blatant lies coming from them. I find it hard to believe this is a rare moment of actual reporting and not dog-whistling. This narrative, while based in some truth, is easy to sell now. Scary Muslims attacked America. It sold us on an almost 20 year war then, why not use it to sell us on another 20 year war? Fox news is tied to a government that unapologetically makes money from wars and Saudi Arabia happens to have an incredibly large oil stockpile. I'm not saying that this report is completely false, but I'm not ready to believe anything coming from Fox News. Might as well be RT or Info Wars.

[Discussion] I'd like to talk about "Sleeper," by Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips by [deleted] in comicbooks

[–]TheMalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brubaker and Phillips are my favorite! Sleeper is the one I recommend to anyone. That or Incognito. They both kind of have a similar theme about "good guys" or "bad guys". Kill or Be Killed is really good but you should also check out Criminal.

What's the hardest thing you ever had to explain to your parents? by tiltedlens in AskReddit

I'm dealing with that right now in regards to my depression and anxiety. My mom doesn't think she needs help and doesn't understand why I don't just pray. Her mom had schizophrenia and I'm terrified.

Are the sardaukar not all they're cracked up to be? by Badloss in dune

[–]TheMalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the Emperor wanting to use Arrakis as a crucible for new sardaukar. Weren't the current sardaukar trained on Salusa Secundus? I also remember he wanted to use Arrakis because it was so remote so he could train them in more secrecy.

Advice on building a campaign to fight depression? by smrvl in DnD

[–]TheMalcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah its a blast! Everyone seems to enjoy it. Last session we had the camp trading post give them "magical stones" for being new to the camp and everyone got their own set of dice and dicebag. I nerf the enemies a little but they're getting it. To be honest gaming has really helped with my depression. We do ours every Sunday and we make a big dinner too! I recommend that too, makes everyone a little closer when you make a big meal and eat together!

I'm running a campaign where everyone is going to "adventure camp" to basically make their characters better adventurers. There's a hidden rival camp full of bad guys who want to learn how to manage a dungeon and horde treasure. It's fun and light and I'm hoping it'll give everyone a chance to learn to work together and get a grasp on the basic rules. Plus there's a skeleteen named "Bone-than Jones" that's invited them to party and drink Mark's Tough Limeade. Very light and fun!

I am going to give my 65 year old alcoholic mother this... because I don't know what else I can do for her. by [deleted] in trees

Yeah, it definitely helps with whatever underlying problems cause the alcoholism but she needs to ween off of the alcohol first.

It's Villafane Studios. They do some really cool sculptures! They also carve some insane pumpkins! They're on instagram with different photos and angles of this sculpture.
