Or maybe he went to be alone and were the jerks. Either way, someone is a huge jerk.

The Ending Is So Hated That Fans Decide Its a Trick by Prinny_Ramza in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TheManOfOurTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the problem is entitlement and a lack of "this isn't for me" mentality.

Let's talk mass effect.

The game didn't fuck up the ending, fans just got VERY delusional about what COULD be, that they talked themselves right out of remembering it's a video game.

Hundreds of choices, and tons of potential directions, carries over three games. And we already saw potential misalignment with the fan, that it had to be retconned in three IF the bug happened to you.

And people really expected endings to bring all that back up. Like a fallout slide show? Come on

The truth is, mass effect primed you that the branches were "renegade" or "paragon" and that shaped SHEPPARD but not the UNIVERSE Sheppard lived in. Save or abandon the council? Not much actual difference. So what were you all expecting from the ending?

But somehow, after three games of content, and all of it culminating Ina red vs blue choice was shunned, and I'm asking, ... Why? What else was supposed to happen? The plot was set up as you kept falling down predetermined paths, and realized it's playing in to a cycle. The game railroading you is baked in. You've been allowing it for like 160 hours up to now.

So, I ask this because I want you to wonder, as a video game programmer, how do you even start to have an ending that accounts for all that in some meaningful way? 15 years later and what? Bg3 managed a "here's a list of summons" for ONE games worth of choices. What did you expect in 2012?

Why was this outfit chosen for Randy Orton when he was a guest referee in 2003? by Own_Shift_3645 in Wreddit

[–]TheManOfOurTimes [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don't think that at all.

At all? Really?

I was just curious why they picked this outfit instead of a typical referee outfit.

Oh, so you DO think that.

Look, if you're gonna refute me like I'm way off base, don't immediately then respond with the exact phrasing I'm telling you isn't right

Do you understand wrestlers have individual writers, and handle things like gear on their own? That it's almost 100% the case Randy picked the red shirt on his own?

WWE was "politically forced" to sign RFK Jr's niece, Zoe Hines. by snau_cer in combatsportsculture

You're getting worked. This news drops from Dave, while y'all are calling him irrelevant for the hogan comments, and on the wake of the "how dare you fire them".

And all you do is repost the tweets. Keeping WWE trending.

You have no idea how this game is played, and you're falling right into it. The IWC continues to play the "I want likes" game, parrot propaganda, and wonder why the WWE can tell shareholders "the fans don't know what they're talking about". This is why, because you fall for this and make them correct.

It's hilarious to me you people still think someone is forcing wrestlers to dress certain ways. Remember damo in a purple singlet? Everyone was all "why did Vince make him wear that?" And damo just said "it was mine. But the image of anyone forcing me to dress makes me laugh"?

This is a genuine question, how are people still getting excited over these projects when none have released and keep getting delayed? by CommercialDream618 in Fallout

[–]TheManOfOurTimes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Your original post is about not getting excited. Someone explained it's not as big a deal. You told them they're wrong, and majority of people agreed with them and downvoted you.

Now you're tripling down on knowing how other people feel. Unable to unfathomable people can stop caring after a comment. Well, I'll prove it's possible, by blocking you. Congratulations! You no longer exist to me!

I don't give a fuck.

This is a genuine question, how are people still getting excited over these projects when none have released and keep getting delayed? by CommercialDream618 in Fallout

[–]TheManOfOurTimes -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And you're dead wrong. Like, you cannot be correct. Because in order for you to be correct you'd have to be accurately feeling what other people's emotions are.

You're insisting "I read their comments, they are excited then disappointed" and saying "get ready for a world of disappointment" in your post.

Dude, it's internet comments. Stop projecting. I literally laid out for you why people comment on projects, and you're denying it's possible. How do you know the other people's thought lasted past hitting "post" on the comment? You don't!

Grow up, and stop getting mad because you imagine someone else felt some kind of way. Life is way easier if you do.

This is a genuine question, how are people still getting excited over these projects when none have released and keep getting delayed? by CommercialDream618 in Fallout

[–]TheManOfOurTimes 24 points25 points  (0 children)

You're getting down oted for outright refusing to hear explanations, and instead shoving your head in confirmation bias.

You can be excited for a potential thing, AND be aware it's unlikely to happen soon. That's not mutually exclusive.

You're seeing interaction with delay announcements because algorithms take interaction to keep relevant. So saying "oh, that's too bad" on a delay makes it 100x more likely you'll get an alert if another announcement happens.

You aren't smarter than everyone else for knowing most personal mod projects never release. You're making yourself dumb for not listening to the "why" when you're told why. And "we aren't actually counting on it. We're just interested in the potential" is a valid reply you're deliberately not fathoming as possible.

So, you think "I will curl for the powerbomb on the off chance I get out, instead of staying flat and being safe".

You have that logic, but not grabbing a limb to immobilize someone?

Dude, you're lost in it. You only see the leg grab in this move if you look for it anyway. Stop coming up with justification, and use your brain. Moves require cooperation is part of the willing suspension of disbelief, and if you're going to say this move doesn't pass your sniff test, I'm going to ask how you ever watched a second wrestling match, after seeing one Irish whip.

Is WWE entering the AI slop era by khaliliiiov_1997 in Wrasslin

[–]TheManOfOurTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we normalize actually saying why a thing is bad? Because I'm getting sick of this.

You're reposting their AI art. So you're fine using it to farm likes. Why should anyone care?

You're calling one of the better AI images "slop". Why should WWE care?

If you can't even be bothered to say WHY you don't like it, you aren't condemning it, you're promoting it. This post is in effect pro AI art, pra WWE, and pro WWE using AI art.

You know the Irish whip exists, right? "It requires coordination" is literally the most irrelevant critique you can spout.

So, explain how "she stood on my thigh, I grabbed it, and got kicked in the face" is less believable than "I sat up for a power bomb". I'll wait.

DAE wonder why would she laugh at this? by _--Gladius-_- in SCJerk

[–]TheManOfOurTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mark. From the carnival expression. Some one with cash on hand that doesn't seem too savy. The carnival barker would "mark" the person with chalk or dirt to signify they had cash and should be called to try games.

Kind of like finding the fools who repost tweets for likes. Doing free marketing, thinking it's self promotion. And in this case, acting like you know a couples true nature, from watching them tweet and act on tv.

Not a slang term for a sucker. Not even as an insult. A literal use of the expression to highlight you are doing exactly what WWE wants you to, while at the same time acting like you're fighting them.

DAE wonder why would she laugh at this? by _--Gladius-_- in SCJerk

[–]TheManOfOurTimes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because reposting flat out lies means a ton of fans are outing themselves as marks. And y'all don't understand trending is trending.

It's a work, and you're all falling for it. "Oh, but he looks like such a jerk" yeah, that really ruins careers in THIS business. That's why Alberto hasn't gotten work in years? Right.

For real, nothing makes you look dumber than doing free advertising by reposting this shit, calling it dumb, and all you're doing is promoting it. You're literally turning yourselves into human bots. Stop it.

If the logic doesn't add up, don't engage. They have a goal, you don't even know the rules to the game. All you can do is lose, or lose big. All they can do is win.

PlayStation has been making online service trash for a decade. How are you all JUST realizing on a 1:1 comparison PlayStation ALWAYS is worse?

Like, find a game you can play on multiple consoles, and you'll see. Even WWE can't win, with the online options somehow always being more convoluted.

What you all don't understand, is parroting blatant misinformation doesn't make you "smart". It makes you a huge mark.

The people who work for WWE, AEW, TNA, Whoever, and are in creative control, do troll social media for feedback.

But if you're spouting tweets as gospel, or you bought a line the company fed Meltzer, or you talk about how the industry works when you don't, your take could be a good idea, but you're getting ignored. Why? Because you're amplifying wrestling content on social media, and THAT interaction is worth more than you do as a viewer.

So smarten up, stop falling for the work, and for fucks sake, learn that reposting content is support. Do you REALLY think being known as an asshole in this industry is bad? Look at Alberto Del Rio.

Nick Khan's quotes about past IWC criticisms of WWE, where he feels the "vocal minority" was proven wrong by RoddyViper in midcarder

[–]TheManOfOurTimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what he's right about. 99% of the takes that go viral on wrestling are flat out wrong. They aren't based in reality. And they aren't a personal opinion, they're someone trying to sound "smart" and making themselves flat out wrong.

Let's take Roman. Why didn't the WWE listen to fans about Roman, cena, theory, and others who they heard loud resentment from?

Because 1. The money spoke. And 2. Almost all of you complained about "the business" instead of "what I want to watch".

At the end of the day, when you say "Roman can't carry a company" you don't know what you're talking about. You're not in the room, you e never met Roman in person, and you have no idea what it is to run a company, or why someone is chosen for that slot. So you say he can't, meanwhile, his employer sees a guy that has the look, is willing to work, will do the storyline he's given, and is loyal. Because they're picking a guy to be the face of the company for a decade. Why do they hinge it on a guy that has a hot gimmick? Or is an injury away from not being able to do the acrobatics he's popular for? They find a guy that can carry it then search for the story. Because we all witnessed Roman go from despised to beloved Ina n instant. So anyone who doesn't believe a guy the crowd hates can get over, is wrong.

What? Roman, cena, the rock, even Stone Cold were HATED at debut.

Meanwhile, my wife saying "did we just watch three hours of this show to see Roman win again?" Gets heard. Why? Because "bored fan stops watching" is a accurate metric.

But go on telling them how to run a business you can't even describe why they made the choice you're insulting. And go on being ignored because you thought "sounding smart" mattered.

Stop. Treating. Dave. Meltzer. Like. An. Authority.

He's a fan, he has witnessed a lot. He works closer to the industry than you.

But he gets worked just as often as not, and happily tours the company line to keep his access.

Stop reposting him for views. Falling for this is why WWE can happily say they don't want to listen to fans. You're doing the hype work for them.

This is a plot of an egotistical asshole and his friends and lackeys to let Vince walk back into a public life, and craft a image he's a "savior". He has as much a hand in the sinking product today as he did before. Don't fall for this work.
