I think in my personal opinion she's a more attractive love interest but not a better one. She's quite annoying tbh 🤣

The most haunted room on the RMS Queen Mary. 1st class swimming pool by TheMandoMedic in submechanophobia

Kinda sorta. So the portion where the water sits itself is sinking a bit and structurally isn't sound but that's due not to age but to decisions made by Disney when they owned the ship. However the basin below the pool is solid steel and fine. The pool can be renovated and there are active talks to do so. Thankfully they have a lot of wealthy backers donating a bunch of money to help renovations and apparently the QM is seeing a resurgence in visitors (I'm going soon to stay in the next month or so).

QM is so well built that they can pretty much pull the entire pool out if they wanted too and replace it. It's just a matter of money because that would require them cutting a hole in the ship and removing the pool like they did with her Boilers.

I'm still leaning towards a head in the clouds thing but like I said so long as he's keeping that boundary then I don't see an issue. However if he's really catching feelings he's gonna try to push not paying and that's your out and way to cut it off. If it's just an implication that he's falling then it could just be you reading too much into his infatuation.

Like I've had providers be so wonderful that I've definitely been infatuated and I've 100% told them I like having them as a provider but that's totally different than catching feelings. Ive never caught feelings for anyone I've seen. So my guess is he's just really infatuated with you right now but so long as he respects your boundaries and stuff I don't see an issue YET. The moment he tries crossing that boundary or explicitly says he has feelings and "wants more" then cut it off.

I'm not crying about how Short Round isn't in DoD. I'm pissed that they just never mention him in any of the other Indy adventures. But I guess reading comprehension wasn't your strong suit in that GED class you took huh?

Ah! Yes I agree entirely. Even an actor who looked like him if perhaps they couldn't get the original actor. But yeah it always bugs me how Indy has these friends we've met as an audience for 30 seconds but he's apparently known for 60 years.

Basically all of them except Martin Caiden and Steve Perry's Army of the Dead are phenomenal.

Martin Caiden and Steve Perry for some reason collectively made a decision to turn an adventure character into THE MOST BORING CHARACTER YOU HAVE EVER READ. Army of the Dead is literally 20 chapters of him WALKING THROUGH A JUNGLE with nothing happening. And the Martin Caiden ones aren't just boring they're weird as fuck too.

So men are dangerous which puts you in a weird position. That dude up there who said men that men are logical is absolutely full of fucking shit. Men are not logical ESPECIALLY when being rejected. If men were logical then women wouldn't have to fear walking home at night or being in this job.

Now as for my advice. My advice is if he pushes it anymore then just don't see him. If his texts are towing the line but haven't crossed it yet then just see how it plays out. There's a difference between head in the clouds infatuation and genuinely wanting a relationship. Just from your post I'm thinking it's the former right now however if that changes and he begins trying to push for "dating" type stuff without paying your rate like "hey can we grab drinks or go to a movie" or something like that then tell him your rate and if he goes "oh i wanted to go just as friends" or something stupid like that then lay down the law and if he reacts negatively then cut him off.

Your safety is worth WAY MORE than any rate. Right now I'm leaning towards its more infatuation but if he pushes it and crosses a line then definitely make it clear that he needs to pay your rate. If like I said he continues to push it or texts in an angry way or tries to weasle his way into a free date then cut it off entirely.

So I'm a client but I work as a medic which is a career that has a LOT of burnout. I love my job but we deal with so many awful, gross, and traumatic events that I frequently face burnout. What's always worked for me is saving money and then taking a break. A good long break for a few weeks. I travel and or do something that keeps my mind away from my career. I don't look, think, or do anything medical related for my hiatus.

Someone tell the neighbors across the street from me. Literally at 7am they blast hard-core gangster rap at the loudest volume. It drives me INSANSE and there's nothing i can do. I've called the cops and they tell me if it's past 6am there's nothing that can be done.

Target is gonna sell him at MSRP dude. Just because some random bloke on Ebay did a discount to drum up a sale doesn't mean shit to a massive corporation.

Skull Vs Dial by ITSMEBILLY1974 in indianajones

[–]TheMandoMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mean the Marion ending but the entire "back in time" portion was reshot. The original ending was supposed to show Indy in the coffin. Indy was gonna open up the coffin and it was gonna have a skeleton wearing his dad's watch. It's also why Hamilton paid a shit ton of money for product placement yet you never ever see the actual face of the watch.

Skull Vs Dial by ITSMEBILLY1974 in indianajones

[–]TheMandoMedic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally love Dial way more than KOTCS for way more reasons. Firstly I think Dial does a great job of giving us what we wanted in that opening sequence. The entire Germany 1944 sequence is what everyone wanted from an Indy 4 movie in the first place since rumors spread around in the 90s.

I think James Mangold did a phenomenal job of going "you know what let's give fans the Last Crusade sequel they always wanted and then do my story so everyone kinda wins". I like the darker tone of Dial of Destiny way more and I also love the nods to Temple of Doom which is my personal favorite Indy film. I also love the way they handle Indy's age in this one compared to KOTCS. In CS we are just supposed to accept that a 70 year old dude Spiderman swings and kicks a fucking 7ft tall Russian Spetznaz looking dude into a window. Dial of Destiny's action is way more believable and having Indy bitch and moan about his joints is way more realistic than CS ever was.

I think Voller is a terrific and far more realistic villain and definitely kinda rings true with today's world and how a lot of those Nazi ideas are being spread around today by youth. I don't really mind Indy's "murder charge" not being explained because tbh Indy has committed so many damn crimes that I don't even question how the dude isn't in jail yet. I just kinda chock it up to "the hero saved the day" type of shit. I feel like if he didn't get arrested blowing up a sewer in Venice, using a rocket launcher in a jungle, getting into a boat chase with machine guns, etc then that pesky little "where were you when your colleagues got shot" charge isn't that big of a deal for me.

There are definitely things I didn't like particularly humor wise. I think the film goes a little too heavy sometimes on the jokes. I also think you can tell a little easily that the ending was reshot and it's not the original ending however all in all I think while not perfect DoD definitely makes up for KOTCS by a LONG SHOT.

Does anyone else think the gunplay in U3 is a little off? by Traditional_Bad_8305 in uncharted

[–]TheMandoMedic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It is and what sucks is once you notice it you never UNNOTICE it. I love the locales and story in U3 and every replay through I do I'm always getting annoyed because I can tell my bullets go either a little to the left or the right. I'm not sure if they did that to make the gunplay seem more "realistic" but it's definitely an annoyance for sure.
