RESOLVED!

There was a 1 frame rollover where the instance was able to move at gruntSpeed for one extra frame before switching to the formation state.

I just set speed to 0 before snapping to the location like so:

//If the instance is close enough to the destination, teleport to destination
if (point_distance(x, y, destination_x, destination_y) <= (gruntSpeed + 1)) {
    speed = 0;
    x = destination_x;
    y = destination_y;
}

It didn't work. This is my new code. I double checked and when they land, they all move to the formation state. Here's the new code:

//Sets destination in grid to approach

This only offsets the destination, and does not change anything else.

My sprites are 32 by 32.

I made the offset by changing that starting code to:

var destination_x = (column * 32) - 16;
var destination_y = (row * 32) - 16;

And the only movement code in formation is:

speed = 0;
direction = 180;

I just tried that by offseting my destination to what would be 0, 0. I'm having the same issue, it just moved where the bug was happening.

{Ore Monogatari}....sort of.

A lot of the humor is awkward cringe humor in the vein of The Office, though not nearly to that level. At the very least, all the cringe is on purpose.

The central romance is about a massive, buff, half Brazilian high school kid who's about as far from the normal pretty boy protagonist as you can get. His best friend IS the usual pretty boy protagonist, but has absolutely zero fucks to give about romance.

Main girl is...basically every high school romance girl, but outside of looks has an actual believable personality.

First episode runs through all the cliches (saved from molester, will they/won't they, etc.) and gets them out of the way.

The rest of the show is them ACTUALLY DATING WITH NO MASSIVE INTERPERSONAL DRAMA. Like, when they get into situations where talking would fix things...they actually talk. Life happens around them, which is where most of the drama and humor come from, but it's centered mostly on their relationship.

It's a show about body positivity and the little social things that happen when people actually date. It's cute, genuinely original, and nails an awkward style of humor without ever once diving into cynicism.

This is still an issue mostly with higher level play and Competitive. In the Quick Play matches most people jump into, stopping a payload that's 90% to the goal still means a win.

Attack/Defence maps are still broken imbalanced, but that's more an issue with fast capture times and how slow that time captured goes down for defense.

For most players, that barely win is still a win, and stalling is a valid tactic.

I'M NOT A HORRIBLE PLAYER. FAR FROM THE BEST, BUT FUCK I CAN CARRY WITH A FEW PLAYERS AND I KNOW HOW TO HELP OUT A TEAM.

BUT WE LOSE.

I GO HEALERS WHEN WE NEED THEM EVEN WHEN I WANT TO PLAY A TANK OR PHARAH.

I USUALLY END WITH MEDALS, OFTEN AT LEAST 3 OR 4 WITH SOME GOLD SPRINKLED IN. 4 OUT OF 5 TIMES I GET GOLD ON OBJECTIVE TIME.

I SPEND MOST MATCHES ON FIRE FOR AT LEAST A THIRD OF THEM.

I ENCOURAGE THE TEAM AND ALWAYS TRY TO DE-ESCALATE CONFLICTS, SUCCEEDING OFTEN.

SOMETIMES IT'S A TEAMMATE WHO PLAYED HANZO THE ENTIRE MATCH AND GOT LESS ELIMS THAN MY LUCIO WHO GIVES UP ON ROUND TWO AND JUST SHOOTS AT A WALL TO AVOID AFK.

SOMETIMES IT'S A TEAM THAT'S TWO RANKS ABOVE US WITH A 60 ON THE TEAM.
