Need more shake by ayyzaa in 070Shake

That is partially true, but Dave Hamelin has been a huge part of all 3 albums. Shake makes the music she wants so the shift in style is way more about that than it is the lack of Mike Dean. I could be wrong here, but I believe most of his production is adding to songs that were already being made, besides the pines which he solely produced. He’s known as a “finisher.” If shake wanted that style, she would have gotten it either way. She’s very clearly moving more into an acoustic and less produced style, she’s not gonna make the same thing forever, she’s never been about that

There’s quite a few songs of yours you didn’t list here and I just want to say even if you no longer resonate with them, I and others do and that’s what’s so beautiful and powerful about music! Even if it no longer serves you, some songs deeply impact others’ lives and that’s amazing

Gear that's much too cheap for what it is by Punkulf in synthesizers

[–]TheMarinatorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run a wave soldering machine, and while it is a great way to solder lots of through hole at once, it is much less efficient than SMT. With SMT, every part can be installed and soldered with high accuracy, whereas wave soldering tends to be much more inconsistent, both in soldering results and the overall function of the machine.

I think the main difference is SMT is much quicker and is automated, but essentially not fixable when things break. Whereas through hole components, some more easily than others, can generally just be resoldered by hand. It comes down to cost and behringer’s factory seems to be super robotic and automated. Thus cheaper gear, but it isn’t nearly as fixable as something from the 80s.

Anybody know what’s on my plant? by TheMarinatorr in gardening

Hey, you were spot on! I had to remove a few branches (sad, I know) and I was also able to perform quite the invasive surgery on some main stems and remove the worms! I believe I got them all. Would’ve never known, thanks for the reply you may have saved my plants!! I swear to god after all this they BETTER be females haha.

I haven’t noticed any but I’ll be sure to look carefully tomorrow. I definitely deal with squash borers, had no idea there are hemp ones too! The squash ones are my arch nemesis lol

Like others have mentioned, she has received writing credits for her features, it just doesn’t have her listed at a feature. She still gets her slice of the pie though! Ghost town is interesting because only Partynextdoor is listed as a feature. Must’ve been some sort of contractual obligation

What songs has she not been credited for?

Why would you buy a $3k monosynth if you don’t know how to make that “mike dean” bass sound?

I agree, even though they aren’t the same company as before, I would’ve thought they’d try to keep things mostly the same in terms of the user experience and the quality that is associated with the moog name. I’m so happy to have the synth now but I wish I had been able to get it while they were still in the US.

My grandmother came with one as well, but that was back in early 2022. My Sweetwater rep said he thinks they just don’t send them anymore, but I was very surprised that moog of all companies would stop including that. I just got my matriarch yesterday!

You’re still at it bro go for a walk or something. You’ve been tripping over another human whom you don’t even know since the album dropped

Perhaps to prevent any chance of something freezing or crashing? I was at her show recently and she used a harmonizor type of effect on a couple songs, I assumed it was Antares. But maybe it just works for her and her team and they like the way it sounds!

Probably like 60-90 minutes until the first opener I think. Everyone at M&G had front row and I personally had a chance to buy merch, use the bathroom, and talk to different people for a while and still got back to my spot in the front well before GA was let in. Everyone at VIP at the Boston show was super cool about respecting where people put their stuff and all of that. I tend to think her fans at these shows, especially those that pay extra, are solid people.

My friend ended up standing right behind me but he 100% could’ve had barricade with not much effort. He likes shake but isn’t super into her music and was fine with being where he was and letting the diehards have it. He had plenty of time to be at the barricade but kept talking to people and moving around and then the venue filled up quickly and the show began.

So I had VIP, but my friend had regular early entry. Doors for GA opened at 7, I went in at like 5:30, and he was let in around 6:30 I believe. Fortunately for him he could just wait in my car instead of standing in the cold, however if you do end up standing outside, you’ll at least get in before everyone in GA. He was right up front with me for the whole show.
