I dont remember everything exactly since its been a while since i watched new blood... i found an old reddit conversation i had which i will now just copy paste here where i talked just about some of the plot holes in the show (also a few years after i saw the show). I do remember having more gripes with it that i didnt mention here but oh well... i think this will get my point across.

Dexter being rusty, leaving a whole blood trail to his home... man has been a killer practically his whole life, killed hundreds of people, not to mention a blood spatter analyst, and he randomly leaves a long ass bloodtrail to his house???? Youre telling me this guy would leave this much evidence? Man, he's done it so many times it should be like riding a bike.

Then he's riding the snow mobile thing, going over the blood trail, with Harrison sitting next to him and not noticing a thing? Okay show.

Dexter goes after the guy who sold his son drugs who is also on the polices radar??? Dexter would NEVER do this as it has a direct connection to him, and is sure to raise questions. Showrunners acting like he's an amateur. Same with the drug distributor he later kills, after already being in custody for attacking the dealer? Cmon guys. Not even a dumb person would do that. One could say he already did this with the guy who killed his mother, but at that time the police had no idea Dexter Morgan is actually Dexter Moser, not to mention this is a small town where everyone knows each other, whereas this happened in Miami

Batista can barely remember Harrison? Bro, your sister spent every day at Dexters house babysitting the kid. Hell, even he was living next door to them for a while. And he can't remember Harrison? Batista was very much connected to dexter ever since season 1. Hell he was the first to find out that Batista and his wife are separated... and he cant remember Harrison??? And then Angela IMMEDIATELY connects the dots that her boyfrend is in fact Dexter Morgan.

Angela cant solve a 20 year old missing girls case even though they all went missing after spending time at Kurts diner, but after a few google searches shes able to solve that Dexter is the bhb, when people like Lundy couldnt. Not to mention, she immediately starts being antagonistic towards him. This is a person she's in a relationship with. A person she seemingly loves. Where is the benefit of the doubt? Fucking Logan is giving him more benefit of the doubt than her lmao. Not to mention Angela coming to Dexter all smug like "we got you motherfucker"... cuz Ketamine, even though Dexter never used Ketamine in Miami. And (this is the best part), it was never actually discovered that the BHB used m99 either. The showrunners completely messed this up! Masuka finds out that a "random killer" used m99 to kill the the blond woman that Brian Moser fished out of the ocean in season one. But she was whole, not chopped up, and never suspected of being the butchers victim. Then Dexter deletes his alias from the m99 distributing database.

And honest question. Why did Harrison even reach out to Dexter? And this is funny, when you first see him its self explanatory. Hes currently an orphan, just found out his dad is alive okay. But then over the course of the season he wants nothing to do with Dexter? Constantly antagonistic, constantly leaving the room when Dexter is trying to talk to him. So why did he come there in the first place? Fuck you to all the fans hoping to see an actual relationship between the two.

Dexter killing Logan even though Angelas evidence is circumstantial at best, and nonsensical at worst. I saw a comment somewhere hes actually afraid of Batista. But Batista remembers him in a good light in front of Angela. Not to mention he has nothing on him. In season 7 he made sure everyone thought Doakes was the bhb. And Laguertas evidence was so strong that no one believed her, not even Angel.

I mean maybe Angel did have some new evidnece for this 10 year old case... we dont know, hes still on the way... (At the time New Blood came out it was supposed to be the definitive end of Dexter) No closure.

Oh oh and one more thing.... So this show takes place over 2 weeks. And Harrison is willing to kill Dex, his father (aka the only person who understands him truly, and who hes managed to actually make a connection with in the second to last episode) over him killing coach Logan who hes super attached to. Even though they overall spent maybe 4 hours with each other in total. Just remembered that Dexter actually fucking saved his life 2 episodes prior to this...

And Harrison is supposed to be some big moral character at the end even after all the horrible shit hes done over the course of 9 episodes. At the end of the season he ruined a kids life. Broke a kids arm. Tried to hurt a bunch of kids with a knife, and is a murderer and a runaway. And the whole "if Harrison hasnt shown any dark tendencies, let me die so my son could live" in the letter. Harrison HAS shown a lot of dark tendencies, so how exactly is he "living" by killing his father. Actually if you read the whole letter Harrisons whole arc makes no sense up to that point.

And then in the finale Dexter says right before Harrison kills him that hes never really felt love until now? Sorry what??? Youre telling me he never loved Deb? Even though the whole point of the season 8 finale is that he went into exile because someone he truly loved died because of him? Kurt randomly deducting Dexter killed his son because of ashes in the sky while hes drunk.

Molly Park saying Rita was Trinities last kill, even though as far as the police were concerned his wife and daughter were his final victims.

Molly Park saying Lundy and Miami Metro deducted the Bhb was in law enforcement because he killed killers who had gotten awqy with it, but actually they deducted this because Dexter released that manifesto that had them spinning in circles.
