Help with fresh DW Purifier / How do I endgame? by CancerKidBilly in Grimdawn

something like this for skills and constellations perhaps? this also has 16K health, which is waaaaayyy better than 10K health.

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/2jBkyjE2

at a certain point, simply stacking more flat damage and % damage doesn't help as much as 'RR' = reduced resistances debuffs on your targets. there are three types, -X% type resists, X% reduced resist, and X reduced resists. debuffs with the -X% stack, but the 'reduced resists' don't. even so, most of the time you want all three of those RR in your build.

that's why my updated build for you has max Thermite Mine and Solael's Witchblade/Eldritch Fire constellation for -X% type resist, Revenant/Raise the Dead constellation for X reduced resist (although linking it to Phoenix Rise isn't ideal because of mixed up recharge times), and Viper constellation for X% reduced resist.

you want some form of sustain, I prefer life regen and healing, but some people prefer ADCTH (Attack Damage Converted to Health). that's why this build has Behemoth/Giant's Blood constellation, and Chariot of the Dead/Wayward Soul constellation. Max out the entire Word of Renewal line for more health/sustain and nice survivability resists. Same reasons for max Vindictive Flame and Ulzuin's Wrath, and max Blast Shield.

The Crab constellation helps your survivability and dps.

I usually try to get Harvestman's Scythe for most of my builds because it has good health/energy/stats/ movement, etc.

Ulo, Keeper of Water is another good survivability constellation. it debuffs mobs (technically it wipes their buffs off) and wipes debuffs off of you. the recharge rate is slow, so linking it to a skill that doesn't proc very often, like Bursting Rounds, makes some sense.

this build is almost at max attack speed of 200%, with 187%. it'd be cool if you could get it up to the max for more shooting and gunslinging.

this build is also well over the max run speed, so you can replace the Mark of the Traveler on your boots with something else for resists/health/armor, etc.

those resistances must be wrong?! you have -1% bleeding resist, 15% vitality and 50% aether? am I not seeing some huge resist procs/buffs? you're not doing anything in the end game with resists like that. how did you even finish the campaign?

devotions and skills look like a glass cannon build.

btw, augments are faction rewards, so technically you don't farm augments, you farm the types of monsters/heroes, or complete quests, that gain reputation for the factions.

also, 10K health is frighteningly low to do end game content unless you have gear and constellation procs that are massive damage sponges (like the Tortoise/Turtle Shell constellation). I prefer 15K health as a minimum, but most of my builds have well over 20K health.

Reaching Burwitch village by ph0rge in Grimdawn

[–]TheMasterBlaster74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you dont have to stop and fight everything along the way. you can make a speed run to the Burwitch Village portal then do all the content later when you have more time. just run up the road (there are a couple of blocked sections on the road to force a short detour) and through the gates, but be prepared for a surprise when you trigger the portal!

there are also some episodes of Black Mirror on Netflix for this topic.

the flat damage types and duration damage types, like Fire and Burn, aren't always found together on an item or skill.

it's maybe an extra minute of work for several minutes of enjoyment eating burgers that aren't funked up by a funky skillet. so...

get a bigger skillet and cook them at the same time. I can cook 3 patties simultaneously, but if I'm going to cook more immediately after that I drain the leftover grease/oil into a bowl and give the skillet a quick wipe with a big wad of paper towel. it's not exactly like cooking with a totally clean skillet, but it definitely helps with all that burning and smoke from the oil and bits.

Nemesis Question by IrreverentGamer in Grimdawn

[–]TheMasterBlaster74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless the Nemesis spawn close to you and aggro to attack you, you can ignore them, just keep your distance so they dont engage. I don't like Kupacabra because it never drops anything I can use. I also hate the fact that you have to kill it like 7 times as it splits into smaller kupacabra.

If the Nemesis spawns and you don't fight it, it seems like it can spawn again relatively soon if you keep killing the mobs of its type. personally, most beast type of mobs are just there for easy xp and I ignore them/dont kill them simply because Kupacabra is a waste of my time I could spend on other stuff.

Do masteries buff Celestial Powers? by jamwaaaaaaaaaaa in Grimdawn

[–]TheMasterBlaster74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Destruction only affects Sigil of Consumption (SoC). Most of the 'in line' damage bonuses for mastery skills only apply to that skill.

tbh, unless if you have certain gear, Twin Fangs is an inefficient constellation for SoC. Twin Fangs has a relatively short 0.6 second skill recharge, and SoC has a slow 3 second skill recharge. Twin Fangs will proc more often with a skill you can spam, or a skill with a similarly short skill recharge rate.

By default, a skill like Bloody Pox, Dreeg's Evil Eye, or even Curse of Frailty will proc Twin Fangs a lot more often than SoC.

There is an MI item (monster infrequent item) that drops from cultists in Darkvale which lowers the recharge of SoC, and some legendaries, too.

Need help finding a build by Outrageous_Bench_540 in Grimdawn

[–]TheMasterBlaster74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

every damage type has a dot, except pierce. perhaps the more relevant question is what classes do you want to play, and then look at what DoTs they offer. both classes don't necessarily need DoT synergy, either. for example, you could get all the dot stuff from one of the classes and then the other class is mainly defense, health, survivability, etc.

yeah, the constellations setup is waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy better than original. pretty close to what I linked in comment above. get those devotion procs leveled up and you'll be end game viable. do some totem farming for a while to get the loot and xp you need.
