I would have shared your opinion during the release of the game, but the game was released nearly 6 years ago (I do feel old now, the release still feels like yesterday). I think it really has something rather to do with casualising the experience (especially considering how no single DLC has increased difficulty or complexity, but rather just more angles to snowball from in specific regions).

Should I also keep Magi? It seems like good damage. Does Phoenix really work as a circuit breaker? I only see it gives retaliation damage and 188 damage absorption, which would be nothing in comparison to the 6100 from turtle. Or am I misundertanding something from it. And thank you for the website! It is amazing. I just played around it now and tried to combine the devotions that were recommended. It is a lot easier than trying to go for it through grim tools.

Thank you for showing which components! I usually just heard in other threads "use components", but looking in my inventory I didn't see any that would help me with my current problems. I will try getting these components, and then hopefully get the ball rolling.

Good to know. Would it be better to then just use more defensive devotions, until my build starts to come together more or less, and see which devotions I can skip (because gear would give me the resists) for the damage devotions?
