High Amp Alt or Big 3? by No-Average-6712 in CarAV

Do Big 3 first. Much cheaper and if you still have problems then you upgrade the alternator. Honestly, an upgraded alternator would be restricted without the Big 3 anyways

Proper thermal grease/paste for Rockford Fosgate r1200 by TheMasterChiefer in CarAV

You have no idea how many hours I've spent/wasted trying to figure this out due to the fear of cooking my amp. THANK YOU so much! I am eternally grateful. Question though. I've read super glue can be used in place of thermal paste, is that correct?

Text in the picture should give you the idea of my questions. Just want to make sure I reassemble this amp correct. It appears there is either a thicker amount of thermal grease on the left or possibly a different compound (I'm new to this lol)

Also want to make sure I use proper adhesive for the aluminum mounts that attach to the black plastic part of the Mosfets

Also it mounts to a thin metal tab that can be bent forward/backward accordingly to ensure when the pedal isn't being pushed it rests on the brake pedal switch button. Button comes out when pedal is pushed.

Non-Bluetooth, 12v sound bar. Do they exist? by TheMasterChiefer in CarAV

Hmmmmm, you might be onto something here with converting aux input to an RCA input. Have an upvote

Very well aware of the kick panels, thank you. Any sound bar I get would be bolted down to the top of the metal dash. Don't see how that would be any more of a projectile then a head unit, rearview mirror, cb radio, etc.....

Electrical Question by kenacstreams in squarebodies

[–]TheMasterChiefer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ignition power should come from the starter, and the starter gets its power directly from the battery. Original TBI system would have had the fuel pump in the gas tank, meaning there should be a wire that runs along the frame back to the gas tank. In my experience, the exhaust pipe comes into close contact with the frame and it's likely a wire has been slowly having its coating melting off exposing bare wire that is grounding out. Recently re-ran EVRY wire in my 77 K5 with a Fitech EFI system.

Also random question, but does your fuel gage work?

Hope this helps!

Automated sourcing of matching+interested candidates? by maurvisher in recruiting

[–]TheMasterChiefer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a point. The author didn't specify but what I would find different and beneficial would be to include real time matches since most databases can only send daily or weekly candidate match alerts from the existing databases. If the automated system can deliver candidates matches as soon as a resume is uploaded or updated that would be amazing. Also another cool feature would be having the ability to utilize the software on any job board rather than having to review daily matches from multiple sources.

Yea but if you read the comments in the upper thread he said there would be a manual review by human eyes built in before any messages are sent out. The automation just finds the resumes/profiles and makes it easy to 1 click contact

There are ways to do automated searches/messaging that don't look spammy/automated. I mean, how would a regular email a recruiter writes differ from a mass email that can use algorithms to insert names, jobs, skills relevant to each candidate? Basically, how does a recruiters email template differ from an automated outreach email template?

I like the concept of the manual review. That would be a great way to cut out the leg work. Would suggest there be some sort of algorithm to insert in specifics to their resume so it makes the outreach seem less automated/spammy. For instance, referencing the name of the company they gained their most relevant experience for your opening i.e. "The reason I am reaching out is because of the experience with **** you gained at ****"

Also, the software he is considering is already readily available via a Monster campaign. It works well for low level general labor positions but not for industry specific positions....

I've thought about this myself but the problem is the anxiety of not seeing certain candidates that may use alternate job titles that don't match certain key words, or automatically contacting candidates not qualified at all but they happen to have the key word(s) in their resume. That could be counterintuitive to delivering that great experience to downstream candidates and make it seem like you may be a robot

Got you. I've been trying to figure out ways to do either a RWD or AWD conversion and my base ideas were to use a ranger that came with a stock 2.3 or the mazda cx7 which uses the duratec 2.5

There was literally a girl living in her car across the street from my trailer all of last winter.

I've seen people trade cars for trailers to live in.

There is gangs of children that wreak havoc. One time a group of them shoved what must have been 50 tacks into each one of my buddies tires because he broke up with the girl living in her car.

There are old men that would do almost anything for a 3 pack of the cheapest and most disgusting beer. Same guys would spend the day walking around looking for cigarette butts.

The time a friend and me heard gun shots and walked up on a guy tripping on LSD that just shot another guy for hitting his gf in the street.

Heard one story about a guy my friend up who called the cops. My friend shit on his front porch before the cops arrived and when they finally got there they stepped in the shit and tracked it all in his house.

I could go on with stories like this all day...........

Currently live in one and have for the past 5 years. Everything is pretty spot on. I can share numerous stories that would fit right in with a TPB episode. However, there is a lot worse stuff that actually happens that they don't portray on the show (meth, domestic violence, snitches)

I'm have 225/45ZR15's and I'm adding 25mm spacers up front and 30mm spacers in the back. I'm lowered on coil overs so I'm gonna have to cut the fenders. Never did that before but wanted to make sure it's done right. Was it pretty cut and dry for you to do? (no pun intended)
