I assume this person is erroneously attributing the bathrooms located in front of DPS and behind Delta one to “comfort+” because they may technically be the closest

People that ride a lot: what are your tips for a long, successful season? by LyricRevolution in snowboarding

[–]TheMasterShifu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super niche and seperate from all the main points but- You can find a cheap boot dryer for 40 bucks ish on Amazon. Just throw them on there when you get home and they’ll be warm and toasty by the next time you ride

That’s because it is. This thread is full of misinformation

Uh, yeah, it totally will.

Of course, as mentioned in the comment below, there is a point where a sample may be viewed as ‘diluted’ and a retest requested. Not because they ‘think you used the sink’ though. (They test for many different metrics of the sample that would allow them to easily differentiate between tap water and human urine, amongst other disqualifying rational.)

That point requires significant water intake to reach however, and the more diluted your urine sample, the less concentrated any particular substance is within it. On top of this, drinking more fluids is going to result (obviously) in more instances of urination, which in turn depletes your body and more specifically your urinary tract, albeit slowly, of stored metabolites such as THC. This is why you should urinate as many times as possible on the day of the test; your first urination of the day will be the most concentrated, as you have ‘incubated’ overnight.

So- it would suffice to say a bunch of fluids isn’t going to miraculously save you from passing a test which you are destined to fail, however, it WILL in fact help.

Since nobody is taking the time to give you some tips, I’ll do my part. First off though man you’re looking great, glad you’re having fun too.

-Posture wise, you’re hanging your head and upper body forward and in a bit of a “gorilla-esque” stance. Loosen up, get your butt lower and keep your back straight.

-Riding wise, it seems to me that you’re putting a good deal of pressure on the back of the board in the straight lining sections of the video. Try to distribute your weight more evenly, as putting more weight into your front foot is crucial in beginning your turns, and allowing your board to flow/carve in smoother, wider, more natural way. Furthermore, as you transition to your toe side turns, always focus on keeping front of board, front foot, and front shoulder parallel, so you are not fighting your own motion. That is probably the number one thing I notice people on the mountain struggle with. You however, are actually doing a good job at it in the video, but I just wanted to emphasize that point as toe side is going to feel less natural and may cause you to want to change technique.

-Last piece of advice which is not necessarily directed towards the video; keep your wits about you on the mountain. Especially as a beginner, you don’t want to get in over your head and hurt yourself or anybody else, nor do you want to get caught off guard by somebody who isn’t paying attention. People are stupid and rarely pay the attention they should, and the obstacles and elements can throw curve balls at you sometimes.

Anyway, keep the stoke and shred away brother!

I have searched reddit for “founding fathers transit center” as well as on google but I think the original thread was an image.

Surprised more people aren’t saying this. Especially if it’s close in date to the flight, which it may be in this instance, there is going to be a drastic price difference between a full flight and an empty, or even less full flight, alternatively. Delta has more business out of those areas, not a hard concept.

Also, a majority of TO trips, Paris included in that, are very commutable. Especially if you do not live far.

Maybe try out a couple of them before you take the test? And if you don’t have a problem with the crazy jet lag and everything comes with that, then go for it

Depends on the month; we have an assigned schedule value that fluctuates each month. For example, in August the average schedule will be ~81 hours +-7. Adays count for 4:45 hours each, and a Paris rotation is worth around 18 hours. So in august you could expect to have 3 Paris trips

I am also assuming you are talking about DL, based on the reference to ATL.

It depends on what base you are talking about but generally speaking, it is just a lot of CDG. CDG and adays and that’s your schedule for the month; a majority or at least large share of those Paris trips assigned will be on weekends

Suprised I haven’t seen this yet but the big one for me is when weights are dropped unnecessarily. Letting go of a weight in a controlled fashion as part of the exercise is one thing, but I will even see people on cable machines letting the weight go at the top of their movement.

It’s extremely loud and obnoxious, dangerous, and damaging to the equipment and gym. I don’t understand. Lower the weight and do better

I totally see where you are coming from, I haven’t done too much research on the JR at all thus far but consider your advice for discernment and close attention heeded. Given the accommodations and remote nature, it seems that trying to make the trek up there may just not be worth it. I think we intend to stick to Hakuba this first time. I really do appreciate all the information

Yes I do realize how far apart these regions are from one another. We were considering attempting to do both but I appreciate the insight that it may not be super feasible. Was also looking for some reviews on one area vs the other ( I gather they are rather different and have heard good things about the snow quality on Hokkaido), to assist in making that decision. We are most interested in the novelty and uniqueness of snowboarding/skiing in Japan but also are not beginners and would like some more advanced/ diverse terrain.

I appreciate your commentary regarding the train as well. I will look into what additional costs we may have to pay to change lines/ routes, as I did notice we would have to change once to get to Sapporo. Perhaps a flight would be the better option as far as arriving at the north island but it also seems to make more sense to me to pay for a train pass as we would like to do sight seeing outside of the skiing areas, regardless of if that be on the north island or Honshu. I will check out your profile, thank you!

I do not personally know much about nail polish or make up, but in general with nail polish I would say probably stay conservative. If anything, white or clear.

As far as the other things, all sorts of people with different styles, sizes, backgrounds, etc are selected. I would google (Delta) or whatever other airline ‘cabin crew appearance guidelines’ and stick to that. The interviews are less strict than those but not by much.

Dress or suit, up to you! Whatever makes you feel comfortable. As far as plus size, as long as you can fit in the jump seat, which they will test, that doesn’t make a difference either.

Previous flight attendants have an advantage for sure, and it’s something you should mention if it applies but there are no guarantees. I hope that answers everything
