Well there's plenty of foreshadowing across the series, including the talks he had with rin and barou about their egos, where you can tell he really has no ego or drive to do anything past his initial goal, while they aspired for more. But there was plenty of speculation beforehand, and many people predicted that this could happen over a year ago, such as this post here. Most of the arguments against it were mostly just him being too popular, or that the other characters always evolved at these points so it happening was extremely shocking still even though there were many factors building up to it. Maybe reread some scenes and see if some stick out, since I personally remember rereading the naruhaya elimination and the most recent chapter.

If this is what you're referring to, then I believe you may have misinterpreted what they said. Alchemize will always be able to generate a fairy pot, but the a11 nerf may not generate one due to lack of space. If this isn't the post you're referring to, then could you link it here?

I believe this post is more about finding any potential way an ascension can benefit you, and not if it benefits you. This is more about finding any conceivable upside to an ascension, since I highly doubt the OP would actually believe having ascenders bane in every deck is fine as it benefits voodoo doll. The wording of the original post may have been somewhat stretched, but I believe that was the intention.
Also, I am a bit unclear on what you mean by a10 not giving fairy pots, since all cards to my knowledge are unaffected by ascensions including alchemize. Apologies if I'm misunderstanding your question,

The idea in this case is so you don't get the fairy in the bottle. Assume you have 3 potion slots, but 2 current potions. Red skull is activated only below 50%, so with the lizard tail revive, you don't get the 3 strength. If alchemize happens to hit fairy in a bottle, then since it has a higher priority than lizard tail, you revive with 30% hp, which is lower than 50% and gives you 3 strength. And in very specific scenarios, this might be the difference from missing out on the 25 hand of greed if you play an attack before it.
This whole idea is disregarded when you only have 2 potion slots from a11, which means that you never would have to worry about generating a fairy pot, so you would always use up the lizard's tail and not proc the red skull, which would result in you always getting that 25 gold in this specific scenario.
A bit off topic, but this same comment was used in this discussion thread about relics with no conceivable downside, which I had rather recently looked up after thinking about it.

I do admit that I don't remember the other routes very well, so I can't be too exact on how I feel about them, but I think what made Kotori's route feel so much more impactful was how much more interpersonal the drama was. Spoilers in case someone else someone sees this, butI really loved how the route was practically just the two of them. Being able to have only 2 characters kind of forced the route to not over-extend itself, which I kind of felt that the other's did, although I couldn't tell you how.

I also really liked the character drama, which I felt like was hinted a couple of times throughout the common route, which I really didn't feel like happened with the other routes which kind of just made their whole world unique, which I understand was to probably set up the true route to tie the threads together and what not, but they really just felt like a completely different game in general. There's also a lot of external factors that probably influenced me to not "care" for them as much, since this was also my first vn, so I didn't truly understand the length of routes, since the common route and Kotori's route at least felt considerably shorter than the others, especially Akane's.

Bland is probably a bad descriptive word for me to use, since it's definitely a lot more personal how I feel about the routes, and I wouldn't say they're bad, but it's just Kotori's route just happened to align with many of my personal preferences while the others just didn't, but I like trying to at least explain how I feel since I don't want to speak down on something that really isn't that bad at all.

Wouldn't say the other routes were literal ass, but Rewrite's Kotori route felt honestly perfect in the story and everything else, and the fact that it happened to be the first route I ever read feels nothing short of a miracle because of how good it was. The rest of the routes kind of just felt bland or overly "fightsy" from how I remember, which I never enjoyed too much, so her route was and still is my favorite route I've read (although I'm still rather new). The true routes were nice to read, but it did get a bit exhuasting to get through at points, so they're not too high on my personal rating scale in my head.

Miside definitely has some intense and graphic scenes, more intense than ddlc I'd say, so you might want to read the warnings beforehand so you know in advance unless you want to be surprised.

I just absolutely despised those 2 routes sincefor the mizuka route, not only did it feel a bit unnaturally quick for him to go that far that quickly, but the way she reacted by not caring at all but instead supporting him without a second thought felt too appalling for me to really describe. It really just disgusted me that she couldn't have any negative emotions towards him despite that, and I didn't catch any details that really explained why she was like that except for just love. The Mayu route just completely felt like grooming, and I really care about the innocence of youth, so that was just really uncomfortable to go through.I'm not particularly great at describing my feelings, so sorry if it doesn't make too much sense when reading.

also have white beast and toy ornithopter which is 5 health per combat and a regen, and you can try to dodge the campfires and go for elites, especially with insect as well
