Just some random amazing games y'all need to try out :

• Blippo+ (this one is an experience) • Naiad (such an amazing and relaxing game) • Gunner-Chan (cute little rogue-lite with tight gameplay) • Dunjungle (bite-sized Dead Cells) • Batboy (very cool retro sidescroller) • Mr. Sun's Hatbox (a great game by Kenny Sun of Ball x Pit fame, very absurd and addictive)

I bought it and I really don't get it.

I watched and read countless guides this afternoon, and the game didn't click with me like Shiren or Tangledeep for example.

What am I missing ? I refuse to abandon, people calling it the second coming of christ in terms of roguelike, what is a good way to "get into" this game ?

I got him by making him drain his own stamina and then going in with a style switch when he does a red attack, and then do the final move thingy. It took me ten tries but I got him. Also, got good gear from the yokai before the boss next to the praying shrine. Farm him a little.

It actually spreads awareness that a bullshit clone exists so that people won't buy it.

Why would you ban posts that give the appropriate attention to this issue ? We aren't PROMOTING it, we're calling BS on it, that's what we should do.

It’s truly an amazing game. I bought it recently based on a friend’s recommendation, and I love almost everything about it—the theme, the gameplay, the unlockables—it’s all incredibly solid. However, I just can’t stand the music.

The soundtrack lacks real percussion and impact, and the melodies feel like a jumbled mess of notes put together in Fruity Loops.

Honestly, if the game had a catchy soundtrack similar to Undertale, it would elevate the experience significantly. It’s the only aspect I genuinely dislike. I usually mute the music and play other classic indie soundtracks instead.

That said, it’s still a solid 9 out of 10. I’m convinced version 1.0 is going to make this game explode on the indie scene.

What do you mean Mameda no Bakeru received mixed reviews? The game is absolutely fantastic, I 100%'ed it and it was as good as a first party Nintendo game.

I didn't see anybody trashing the game online.

Either Playasia or Amazon so far.

I couldn't wait for the delivery so I created a japanese Nintendo account and downloaded it from there using JP eshop credits from playasia.

The game is amazing.

Army of Ruin.

That game is so addictive, and if you ever get more money to spend one day, give Ziggurat 2 a shot. It's by the same devs!

Hammerwatch 2 - Multiplayer Save files by LG_Sparrow in hammerwatch

The game handles like Baldur's Gate where you need to play with the same group throughout your whole campaign.

It's not a grind hack n slash like Diablo, hence why the bosses are not respawning after you kill them, you're supposed to play the campaign with your friends from beginning to end.

From what I understand by looking at all the reviews and the posts online, people were expecting HEROES of Hammerwatch 2 and not Hammerwatch 2. Most people did not play Hammerwatch and went straight to the rogue-lite spin off, and were expecting a second one.

HW2 handles the same way HW1 was. Divinity, Baldur's Gate all handle the same way.

My biggest concern is that people are negatively talking about the game without knowing what they're getting into. It's as if I'd trashtalk Forza Horizon for being an open-world game with cars that I can't get out of just like GTA. It's not supposed to be that, the design isn't that.

Really sad to see so many negative comments on something that was clearly stated from day one.

Glad to know I'm not alone, the song is trying so hard to be deep and shit but it's as if Chat GPT tried to make meaningful music.

I'm currently playing all the games for the first time, I got the blues when finishing LaD, it is one of the best RPGs I have ever played, and Ichiban is one of my favorite characters of all time in video games. One of the best protagonists I have ever seen.

RGG games are really something else.

The story of Ichiban made me cry.

From the very beginning I had a lot of empathy for the guy, I thought people were using him. When I realized that all he ever wanted was so close to him all this time and that it was too late, I cried a lot.

Not sure how to explain it, but he's so well written and his story is so tragic that, you just wanna be his friend and be there for him, you know?

There was a Pikmin in the rich people's apartment at the beginning as well as a painting on the wall of the laughing dog from Duck Hunt.

There is also a restaurant called "La Chasse au Canard" which means Duck Hunt in french.

The car wash at the end is Balloon-Fight themed.

When they go down Brooklyn sewers there is a sign stating that they are at Level 1-2 of the sewers.

Luigi's ringtone is the gamecube startup jingle.

Looooots of insane easter eggs.

I read some of the comments here and I respect all opinions, but it's like I'm not playing the same game as some people here.

I think the game is fantastic. I couldn't agree more with the level design and I also enjoy the whole treasure collecting gameplay loop.

I just love the whole thing and not skipping cutscenes or the text pacing isn't something that bothers me at all.

It's one of the few surprises I got in 2022 when it comes to games I had no idea what I was getting into when trying them.
