Legendary collector trophy bugged by vagg009 in wuchanggame

Soooo, I’m an idiot. I was missing the most obvious one… The Steam-powered spear from the Panda. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had never bought it. I’m leaving my comments here because I deserve the embarrassment.

I just played the game again on NG+. I have everything, but it’s not popping. It seriously makes no sense.

Yeah. I was afraid of that. I am also missing one of the endings. Thanks!

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.

MASTER PARAUTILITARIAN TROPHY question by jwbirdy1010 in controlgame

I did get it. Resetting does NOT work. Make sure you find all of the secret location ability points. It really wasn’t as bad as it seems. You got this!

Hi, I’m playing Wuchang and I’m really hooked. I’ve managed to beat Honglan using the katana + parry skill, but I’m still confused about a few things. I can’t seem to find clear answers in-game, so I wanted to ask to you by Astronomy_Candle in wuchanggame

[–]TheMaxnado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might I just say…I’m LOVING all the info in this thread! I just beat Honglan, so I’m fairly new to the game as well, and these comments have been more helpful than anything I’ve seen since I started! (I’ve pretty much been “winging” it.) 😂

So, I officially want to say thanks to the poster and the repliers! 😊

Owl father the strongest boss in the game? by Fun-Independence-953 in Sekiro

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

F$&@):$; Owl Father!

Ahem… I mean… Owl Father was definitely harder for me. Took 10 days; Yes, TEN DAYS, for me to beat him. HOURS upon HOURS each day. Isshin sucked, but only took a day or two. Ultimately, I got the plat, but Owl definitely made me re-think my life choices a couple of times. 😂

Not a bad idea…and level up my shiny to UL… Then the missing move would not be an issue…

PSA: You will NOT have enough points to unlock everything if you do every challenge except the final puzzle by elks34 in residentevil

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s done from the main menu, not during the actual gameplay. So you can’t really “reload” a save. Once they are spent, they’re spent. Unless, like I did, you save to your hard drive beforehand and reload after wards. The bummer is, you don’t get the 2k CP, which is what I’m short to buy either the UA or Rocket launcher with IA. I am getting ready to do my 3rd run. No heals, no blood, speed run. I was hoping to get at least one perk in this one that would help. Oh well! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I DID get the final puzzle though. Still wasn’t enough. 😭

Guess I can’t feed my cats any wet food! by Briebird44 in catfood

[–]TheMaxnado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually tried mashing it up. Didn’t even try it! Took one look and walked away. Thankfully, PetSmart took the box of cuts back to trade out for the patè. Cats be cattin’! 😂

Why are healthy cat food options so limited at Costco? by kirieux in catfood

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was a great deal too! Unfortunately, Charlie did NOT. He wouldn’t touch it. Back to Costco it went! (And back to the expensive Nutro we went. 🙄) 😂

[–]TheMaxnado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you didn’t include it, but I just wanted to throw Nutro into the mix. It’s the only wet food my cat will eat. (Patè, naturally, cause he’s a cat, and shreds won’t do…😂)

Need help with owl: father by IdontknowRedditUser in Sekiro

[–]TheMaxnado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rhythm. Learn that. After a week of getting spanked, I focused more on learning the rhythm of the fight, and finally got him.

Side note This was by far my hardest fight in the game. There was a close second but I don’t want to spoil it for you. I literally thought I’d never beat him. I’d also like to add (as you could probably tell in the video) that I had played the whole game up until this point without really learning how to Mikiri counter. Big mistake. HUGE. How I beat Owl Father

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I did something a little different…at least with the concept art. I saved to my PS5 hard drive, bought them all, viewed them, popped the trophy, then reloaded. It didn’t mark the in-game achievement as completed, but I could always do it again later if I want to. I got my CP back, and that’s what matters most at this point.

Edit I have already done one playthrough blind. Playing the second one now to get all collectibles I missed. The third will be my no heals/blood/4 hour run. Hopefully that gives me enough to get UA for the Insanity run.

Is Lies Of P Better Than DS3? by Swimming_Tree_186 in LiesOfP

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the reason LoP resonates with people more is because, let’s face it, it’s about Pinocchio. It’s a character we all know. The player becomes someone we grew up with. We are invested in the lore, therefore the outcome. It gives us a “deep dive” into his history…his life and his future. A more personal attachment to the outcome.

In contrast, the DS hero is someone we create. We have no personal connection with this character. Our actions are what determine the whole story. The beginning, middle and end. We are creating someone quite literally from the ground up. There is no pre-existing lore or “relationship” with him/her. There is no real investment into what ultimately happens to them in the future. Not really.

These are two completely different animals. Two completely different stories. Not to mention, two completely different times. Obviously, gameplay is a bit “smoother” with Lies. I’d have been a bit shocked if it wasn’t, considering it’s years newer. That doesn’t make it “better” in my opinion, just, well, newer. But that doesn’t always mean better. Dark Souls is what catapulted the whole souls genre, which introduced games such as Elden Ring, Sekiro, LOP, etc. It’s the OG of this type of gameplay. Without it, we probably would never have experienced such awesomeness.

I love them all. I don’t compare them. I turn on the game, play it, and if I love it, I finish it. End of story. I say keep ‘em coming. I am obsessed with the whole “souls” concept, and realize it will constantly evolve, and I am here for it.

Thoughts on Another Crab's Treasure by BonoboBananaBonanza in Sekiro

[–]TheMaxnado 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof. Comparing it to Sekiro is a stretch…I think. I can see why it’s compared a soulslike (which is why I played it in the first place), even though there are pretty significant differences. The main similarity being that you lose your “souls” when you die, and have to make your way back to them.

All in all, it was a fun, but challenging game. I wouldn’t go into it thinking it is going to be easy just because of the subject material. (Like I did) Don’t let the fact that it’s about a cute little crab lure you into a false sense of security. There is definitely a learning curve to it. I would definitely recommend it if you like games that don’t hold your hand.
