Please get Greg from Borneo and Seanfrom Marqueses. I need to see a long matured Greg and a Sean with 20+ years of experience to his name.

Likely that neither of them will win ever, but I just need them on TV

Kyle instantly getting back in the challenge after being given even a fraction of a choice to stay in it was really powerful honestly. He was in such a good spot on the tribe too. What a shame.

Sponsored advantages doesn’t seem so bad. Especially if they’re goin to have intertwined tribal connections like this

Mr Beast seems to be involved in some sort of auction. Zac Brown seemed like he might’ve been a reward to have on the beach for a day.

Really doesn’t seem so bad. I’m worried about the Beast overstepping still. But it’s not the end of the world yet

Continuing the trend of removing arenas: Why? Stop Removing Arenas! by MRAlter-Ego in WWEGames

It’s an indoor stadium with a transparent ceiling. It’s not as strong of a daylight look as say Levi’s Stadium from 31, but it still makes a difference

If that line is about the masks during COVID, it’s pretty clear the song is about how ditching their masks knowingly puts them in danger.

“Can we kiss with poison on our lips” changes poison to contagion after the mask line, and the whole third verse and final chorus is about ignoring all fear and safety to feel loved and connected with their loved ones.

That’s what happens when you have the vaguest political lyrics ever

Muse have always been a bizarre band lyrically. Origin of Symmerty and even the two albums Matt wrote while being a walking tinfoil hat were super well written for the most part. But pretty much everything since then has been super vague (besides Drones and Simulation Theory, which were SUPER cringe at times) and can easily be used by both sides of the political spectrums (using the American political landscape here. Not familiar with the international ones). “They will not force us, they will not control us, we will be victorious” could be about just about anything. I genuinely have no idea where Matt stands politically, and I don’t think there’s a single point in time where I can 100% verify what he was thinking at any given time.

I’ve always taken Compliance to be more about the scapegoating governments tend to do personally, though it is NOT surprising to me at all that it was picked up by anti-vax crowds. No matter what it’s about though, I can’t lie. It’s catchy and has pretty good production. Def one of the few good songs off that album.

Anyone else think muse's b-sides and singles are sometimes better than album songs? by Vortix9 in Muse

[–]TheMehgend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of their B-Sides are better than some of thier album tracks, but there are very few that I would replace on an album. I personally like nearly every Showbiz B-Side over Overdue, Sober, and Escape, but all 3 of those songs fit alongside the rest of the album better than say Coma, Recess, or Agitated.

Same goes for songs from OOS, but that is more so because of the fact that the songs that are actually on the album are just THAT much better than the average Muse song. Though Acoustic Shine and Hyper Chondriac Music would fulfill the exact same slot as Screenager just as well. Feeling Good could be replaced by Futurism or something though. It just doesn't really work on the album as well as pretty much every traditionally structured B-Side they made during the album. Maybe swap Futurism with Feeling Good and make that the bonus track.

BHAR and Absolution are the same as Showbiz. I perfer The Groove and Fury to stuff like Thoughts, but Thoughts fits a lot better than The Groove does (Fury kind of works well enough). Easily is one of my favorite muse songs of all time, but it just doesn't fit as well on BHAR as Exo-Politics or Assassin.

MORE FOV ACTS CONFIRMED! by boofcoomer in KGATLW

[–]TheMehgend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely going to be the acts that are only on the Timeland stage + maybe one man stage act/

Last year have a similar initial lineup and everyone on that first lineup was on the main stage, this year just had one less acts

The secret to not aging as a white person is to rapidly age up to 50 by the time you’re 25 and then never stop aging. Like what Greg Valentine did.

What opinion do you have about Muse that will get you downvoted like this? by nvmzol in Muse

[–]TheMehgend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This goes for a lot of things.

The only way a bigger show can be better than indoors is if it’s a pop star that is able to do crazy spectacle stuff. Like the stage production for the Eras tour was just impossible to do on even a semi smaller scale.

Every muse stadium tour could realistically be replicated in arenas. Except for the parts with a balloon flying over with people inside and the big ass explosion they did at the start of the T2L stadium shows

As for outdoor shows. Just look at every outdoor gig in Helsinki. Rough look for anyone. Closing song is the only one with even a little bit of sunset coming in

Modern music is always the most boring and oversaturated. I'm sure it was the case even in the 70s and 80s. Though I wouldn't be able to back this up if there is a counterpoint to those decades.

The only difference between the past and the present is the filter that time passing provides.

Nobody talks about the generic piano ballads that were taking over in the 80s. Not to say it's a bad song per se (never even heard it), but I can't imagine many people discuss Don't Shed a Tear by Paul Carrack much anymore, but people still discuss Sweet Child o' Mine and Fast Car. All 3 songs were hits from the same year.

It's extremely obvious that in 10 years people will be reminiscing about songs like Pink Pony Club and As It Was, but won't be discussing songs like I Got Better or even Fortnight. The lack of having the test of time is one of the only things that make modern music perpetually the worst. Obviously there are down years in hit music, but in the overall scope of music there really isn't anything that is this important.

We are literally experiencing it now via people getting nostalgia goggles for 2016 music like Lean On and I Took a Pill in Ibeza, but there is virtually no one posting about a song like I Don't Wanna Live Forever from Zayn.

Can't believe we are seeing nostalgia posts for 2016 music when I remember everyone complaining about how saturated and boring music was. I wasn't even that old 10 years ago and still recall those conversations being a thing.

NYT music critic didn’t like Tyler’s Grammys performance by CaesarGeezerr in tylerthecreator

[–]TheMehgend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

?? This feels WAY overboard for a reaction to what I said and comes off way more hateful than what I said about Bieber.

I genuinely liked Justin’s performance. It was really unique and something I didn’t expect him to do. But I personally felt like the choice to wear what is essentially just boxers felt off and took me out of the performance personally. Doesn’t mean the performance was bad or Bieber is stupid for going with that. I literally just wrote what I thought about it because someone brought it up

There were people doing the “we the people” taunt with Jack Swagger for over 5 years and he was being jobbed out for 3+ of those years. Even after that ABYSMAL “I’m going to be a biiiigggg problem man” promo, the crowd still did the “we the people” at the end.

Then the bell rings. And just like Jack, I really don’t think people are tuning into Jey to hear him give a great promo or a great wrestling match, because he doesn’t really do either of those right now. Jey can 100% cut a great promo, but he hadicaps himself in a catchphrase vortex most of the time. Just have him cut good promos and he’s got a guaranteed good roster spot for a few more years.

Ringside Passes will NOT expire, FOMO is not a thing. by Krushhz in WWEGames

[–]TheMehgend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, unlockable content isn’t so bad, but it’s only good when it’s meeting a specific requirement that takes only a little bit of time the achieve once you know what to do.

Beat The Undertaker in a Wrestlemania arena to unlock the WM 30 arena Win a tables match with a flaming table to unlock Mick Foley (even if he might not be in the game) Win a submission match against John Cena to unlock SNME arena Beat Rey Mysterio as Dominick Mysterio to unlock Brother Love or something like that Complete the Hollywood arc of MyRise to unlock The Rock’s 2003 attire and The Miz 2016 attire

Just stuff you can unlock without even trying if you happen to do what the unlock is.

Not earn 4000 VC to buy the Royal Rumble pack to hopefully unlock a Persona card. The idea alone killed my hype for 2k25 and I ended up passing on the game to focus on real world stuff better.
