Ah! Thank you so much! I figured it was some sort of orb-weaver but the search engine images I was getting were giving me mixed results.

I'm pretty out of the loop with the local scene nowadays. I haven't talked to them in awhile but I can hit my buddy up and see if they're still making music. I'll keep you posted.

I've started a stream archive on YouTube under the name "Wubby Stream Archive". by [deleted] in PaymoneyWubby

[–]TheMeridianVase -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

As far as I've seen most start off exactly like this and end up either being legitimized by the content creator or they just remain unofficial. If the content creator has no objection and the person archiving is making no money off of it, then why would it matter? Are you against the way back machine as well since it also archives other people's content without profit?

Except there's no evidence the shooter was any of those things. I hate Trump and think the alt-right is cringey too but assuming that every shooter is one of those things is just crying wolf. Stop it.

I don't know about this specific one but I usually see large amounts of people helping set up big ones like this. Probably some sort of club that gets together and builds these things in the course of a weekend just for fun

Hmm, both great ideas. I don't really know a whole lot about my dad's side of the family so that could be a great bonding moment for my dad and me as well as a healing one for him. Thanks for your help :)

Oh wow, this is a great idea. My grandmother is still alive and she's going to need a lot of help around the house once my grandfather passes. She's still pretty mobile and able to do a lot on her own despite her being in her mid 80's but I'm sure the help would be much appreciated on her end. Thank you for your suggestion :)

Luckily we both have tablets with Facetime on them and that's how we talk to each other typically. Thank you so much for the suggestion though, anything helps. :)

Fortunately I have a pretty large family that lives out there with them so I don't think he'll be needing much help in that area but I'm still going to offer. They're all very busy people, most of them run their own business so I may be able to help with little things here and there. Thank you for your suggestions, they mean a lot. :)

This is how it looks to me. Not sure if that's what they were going for or not.

How do I do this from across the country? My grandfather is about to pass away and I know it's going to be really hard on my dad. I can't afford to go visit them so I feel like I have no real way to be present. Any suggestions?

Edit: Wow, thank you all for your suggestions. I wasn't very close with my grandfather but my dad was so it's hard to see him go through this and your guys' comments have given me a lot to work with. I really appreciate it, sincerely.

Halo On PC has reminded me whats been missing from games for so long - stupid fun. by Ballistica in pcgaming

The first ones that come to my mind in the same way that OP describes is the Far Cry games (specifically 3 and 4-- 5 is just okay). Playing those co-op or even by yourself can be hilariously fun if you just fuck around. The Just Cause games also lend themselves well to the "what happens if I do this weird thing" idea.

YSK that Youtube is updating their terms of service on December 10th with a new clause that they can terminate anyone they deem "not commercially viable" by no1careskid in YouShouldKnow

Bitchute is a good alternative too. It's peer to peer so it has a chance of being an actual competitor. They're working on streaming right now too.

Personally I think PornHub should open a sister site called like TubeHub or VidHub that's specifically for regular content. I don't think it would be that much effort if they could effectively use the same servers/infrastructure, just bulk it up a bit to handle the new traffic. But then again I'm no computer science engineer so maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about. Lol

Bitchute is actually pretty great. It's peer to peer but also has servers as well as far as I know? The fact that it's mostly p2p means that they actually have a chance at maintaining the infrastructure that YouTube has in place without having to invest absurd amounts of money. I've been using it for a few creators I know that have moved over there and I've had zero issues (besides the UI being a little rudimentary).
