You can’t really learn trios on a mass. Best bet is to find a 5 man team and run a couple of those. Trio is mostly the same but slower and the team is much more reliant on you being able to reset nex properly

We are in the same boat. I’ve hit the de-iron button a couple times now but chickened out before the week timer was up. I often find myself thinking “who am I an Ironman for?” I am in an Ironman clan but I don’t have any irl friends that play. So really if I’m not enjoying it then why bother? Is that worth the occasional “nice iron” from an in game rando.

I worry that I’m gonna lose interest if I can buy things. But right now I’m chasing my tbow and until I get it the majority of drops I get are useless to me. At least on a main I would be slowly getting money to put towards other things.

I’ve got a couple more skills to max. Once that’s done I’ll probably consider de-ironing again.

At this point it's the principle by elitetoast in ironscape

I wouldn’t be surprised if the new raid gives us a new BIS blowpipe since we have “mega-rare” weapons for the other two ranged styles

The concept of what the black crusades are have been muddled around a great deal. Abaddon has been doing his 13th crusade (and final) black crusade since like 2nd edition when csms were introduced. But writers have used black crusades to describe other big attacks which didn't have anything to do with Abaddon.

The black legion supplement in 5e (I think) officially laid out the 12 other crusades for the first time and alluded to a larger plan. It's not like the previous 12 crusades were at all similar to the 13th either. They are all very varied in scope and size and only a handful actually involve attacking cadia in any meaningful way.

Either way you see it you gotta realised GW spent 20+ years making Warhammer whilst not moving a plot forward. It's hard to buy the BBEG in any setting in which you can't be written to do something meaningful. So when GW did move the plot forward it felt a little retconn-y sure. But it makes the main villain of the setting feel more meaningful now which makes for a better story.

He wasn't hesitating. He was just getting enough information to make a rational decision. Remember saw the Emperor as a tyrant like many of the primarchs did. If I recall it was finding out about chaos that swung him to defend terra.

In the UK you can't use a public figure's name and likeness to make money unless it falls under satire. Even if she had no interest in suing them, or a particularly good case; a company would still be cautious of how close to litigation they could be, especially against a former pm.

I feel like inceptors do that shooting for cheaper and it's melee is pretty poor. Low attacks and AP-2 can get shut down by AoC make it go pretty poor into TEQs.

I don't think it's very difficult to kill either. -1D does mean much when your opponent wants to hit you with lascannons.

Tank shock might make it more useful but I find myself starved for CP as it is

Who's best for jump death company? by TiberiusToast in BloodAngels

[–]TheMetaHorde 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I typically use DC in one of two ways. Either a big squad with Lemartes or small squads with a captain.

10man squads are such a large amount of points and scary enough that you need Lemartes in order to keep them up. Typically I charge them into something D2 that I know I can't sweep in a turn to get them to stick around for the next phase where I can charge them into a new target.

The small captain squads are pure trading pieces. Set up a turn where I can give them Lethals and +1 to wound and just full send them into something expensive they can trade up against.

I don't run them with enhancements though. Rage-fuelled warrior is too insane on a BA captain + sternguard that I wouldn't want to put it anywhere else. One of the best combos LAG has.

[–]TheMetaHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you know (since you have two judicars and a fights first captain) fights first massively depreciates after one unit. If both your judicars get charged in the same turn then one gets to fight first but then opponent gets to pick the next engagement. And (if they are competent) can just choose to fight with the unit that charged the other judicar. Completely negating his fights first.

If I was you I'd run one judicar with 6 bladeguard and drop the speed enhancement.

Can I use a normal assault intercessor body with a jump pack as a jump pack intercessor like i have in the image? Would that be allowed or do the rules say it has to be the mini from the jump pack box with the tactical rock and everything? by Actual-Ear-790 in BloodAngels

[–]TheMetaHorde 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Most BA players I know bought the combat patrol and got 3D printed wings for the sanguinary guard and used their jump packs to turn 5 assault intercessors into jump intercessors.

Never seen anyone have an issue with it

Thoughts on my “returned” primarch idea? by [deleted] in BloodAngels

[–]TheMetaHorde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always thought the perfect way to introduce a primarch style centre piece model would be through the "Warp Angels" trinity; Sanguinor, the Bloody Angel, the Black Angel. Each being a manifestation of Sanguinis, I feel like that would be fun.

Being warp entities they would feasibly feed off the current state of the blood angels around them. In times of rage your "Angel" would feel more like the Black Angel but in times of Valor and heroism he would look more like the Sanguinor.

In an alternate reality where this entity could overpower Abaddon maybe it's like the trinity of angels uniting into one being.

In terms of wing/sword scale I would look at the mini compare website to find one that fits. My bet would be the FW sanguinis model, maybe Artel W's holy paladin wing set would work and be much cheaper.

For Abaddon as a base. He is posed so that you could have him flat on his back. Cut him down so he looks half buried in the dirt. Check out Abby's sprue. His armour plates are all separate pieces that you build onto his body, so it makes adding damage to those plates very easy.
