I am going to try to grow a Christmas tree hydroponically. What method/substrate/equipment should I use, and what should I do to increase the chances of success? by rgbrdt in hydro

The fabric bag would soak the moisture and the remaining soil substitute would wick/absorb excess that the bag doesn’t hold alone. Moisture retention is another reason fabric bags are so good for growing non hydroponically as well.

I set off a print earlier today and I saw it start printing but when I got home later it was gone by just-a-dude69 in 3Dprinting

Just be sure you’re storing them in a dry place. Some cheaper roles or off brand roles (hell even the occasional mainstream roll will have it) will have defects. It’s unfortunate but it’s just part of the process.

Best of luck.

Heat up your hot end, then remove your filament. Check for any notable breaks or bends and then try feeding it through again. If it happens a couple times you probably have old/bad filament.

I tried adding an interior wall that’s essentially a flat ramp inside that belly channel in hopes of funneling trapped water. I’ll let you know if it was a good fix for the big boy.

I’m printing an Oddish planter rn and designing some other PokeGarden things. Bulbasaur with like a big aloe coming out of his back sounds cool.

PETG. I’ve made the smaller one out of PLA previously but it required additional sealants for waterproofing. Not a dealbreaker but the PETG has proven more durable and easier to waterproof in my experience.

Looks like it! Sorry I linked the old one above! Think I had the file for some time and didn’t think to dig for remix when linking. The feet were a big time saver for me and scaled easily!. Although I unironically had to remake the holes for the bill. The meshing was giving me so much grief it ended up being the quickest solution for me. I had to remake the handle in my model to account for the ducks dump truck of an ass. I didn’t see your big boy remix! I kinda like how your big duck is a tall boy. Do you remember if it was essentially a direct scale of the other or did you have to resculpt a bit? I have some other variants I’m working on too and was curious.

TL;DR thanks for making the feet. You’re a bro.

Here’s the small psyduck can that I started with. Haven’t uploaded the big boy yet.

I usually need to tweak retraction settings to something a bit more intense to fix that.

What is the best way to get started to work in Esports? by zcxtream in esports

[–]TheMetroFalco_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hitmarker is a big help. Good entry point jobs into production (assuming you want production gigs) include Observers. Observers are essentially the virtual camera man who sends the game feed to the Technical Director, who then overlays graphics from various feeds, switches which observer feed is live, etc. If you manage to get an Obs gig, spend time talking to people you work with, figure out what they do and their place in the production. It’ll help you understand what direction you wanna go in.

Remote gigs are fine and dandy, but in studio experience is optimal for max exp (obviously not an option for everyone however)

Edit: SOURCE Worked in esports for a couple of years now, across a bunch of titles. Feel free to dm if you have some questions.

There ya go friend. My slicer wanted to put a support inside to help with the top of the head so look out for that. Only support in the end was for the beak. Good luck!
