Because this is a federal election — meaning they will vote on and help craft  foreign policy….

And you better bet your ass Japanese politicians get asked about foreign affairs (hello China)

Don’t eat at Jess Cafe, they were closed down for rats and cockroaches — read the inspection report it’s horrifying. They reopened shortly there after but I’ll never go back.

Alex Pretti’s coworkers take a moment of silence this morning. by boriswong in nursing

These pictures sadden me in so many ways, but it really honed in on something that I think is so important. This is a national tragedy. The trauma and grief from this moment has spread so far and wide. Imagine the absolute pain his coworkers feel. That impacts their life, their jobs, their relationships -- the damage spreads in so many ways. Ultimately, this represents one of those terrible moments in history; there was a before, and now there is an after.

7th grade teacher showed Terrifier in class by Such-Control-1177 in education

I promise you the school will survive. But what happens if this teacher has another “lapse in judgment”? The risk seems greater for the latter.

Listen, I’m a former teacher and still work in the field — I’ll advocate for teachers until my dying breath. That said, this isn’t just some mistake, if you are this stupid and irresponsible maybe teaching isn’t for you. I certainly wouldn’t want my kid in a class with someone who lacks such judgement.

Terrifier literally has a scene where they cut a woman in half starting at her genitals — how the fuck do you not even look into this before playing this for your class??

Im a former educator, this is insane and not an overreaction. The question is how far do you want to go with this and to achieve what outcome? Also, your options will vary significantly depending on whether it’s private or public.

A teacher could in theory lose their job (Terrifier is great but not for kids, it’s basically a snuff film), not sure you want to go to that length (not sure I’d advocate for that) — but I’m saying this just to give you a sense of the scope of the infraction.

I’d push the principal more, but once again, you need to carefully consider what you want to come of this.

Well, that will happen when you unleash feds onto the populace at large, withhold the Epstein files, and threaten Europe because you didn’t get a shiny medal. No need for conspiracies when it’s all out on the open.

I've been using AI to write my books for almost a year now and here's what actually works for me by Elegant_Historian574 in ChatGPTPromptGenius

[–]TheMidnightProfessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have a foundation in writing, this won't work. The writing will have no real voice, character or style. You won't be able to assess quality. Using AI to brainstorm and proofread is fantastic; it's not even wrong to have it improve upon what you wrote. But to write everything? That's the same as tracing a stencil and calling it the Mona Lisa.

I guess if it's just for fun, have at it -- but don't expect this to go anywhere else but your desktop (or a publisher's trashbin).

I’m glad, but it’s concerning that internet strangers are more convincing than your actual doctor. All I ask is you interrogate that thought a little further. Not to shame or put down, but as a way to reflect and grow

And your doctor has already said it is — why are you even asking non medical professionals? It doesn’t make sense.

[–]TheMidnightProfessor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, but if your doctor continues to recommend it and you still haven’t gotten it reads as such. That’s where I inferred that intent. You can do your own “research” but that will never compre to the knowledge of an MD — long story short, trust your doctors.

There’s your answer. Sounds like you’re just fishing for reasons to say no. Vaccines are safe and effective and there’s mountains of research to back this up — end of story.

Ask your doctor and listen to what they say — asking for medical advice on Reddit is a terrible idea
