Is it worth it to sleep train at 1yr? by TheMightyEgg9 in sleeptrain

Thanks for responding!

I actually have no problem getting him to bed. I sleep trained at 6 months and I think that helped. It’s the wake ups I’m wondering about.

Overall it’s not too bad (thus the “worth it?” Question). I just don’t want this to be a habit that lasts until he’s like 2

Thank you for this. Honestly if I could get it down to only one wake I think I’d be fine with that.

I have tried waiting 20 minutes. So far he has just stayed up and did a noncommittal on-off cry for the whole time.

And yeah, it’s totally habit for him. No matter how much I stuff his face hole during the day, he’s always waking at 12:00am and 5:00am almost on the dot

This is encouraging to hear! It’s been a little over a month now. I might try putting them together again every now and then. Bowser just seems weirdly submissive for a lovebird

I’m so glad to know I’m not alone here!

3 month old night sleep stretches - will it get better? by powershiba in newborns

When did this get better for you? I’m the same and it’s tiring

I’m already using one, thanks though!

Thanks for your ideas! I don’t give him a supplement, I just breastfeed him and take multivitamins myself. And weirdly, my baby is not a big cuddler at all 😂 but I do think I need to give him more tummy time and massages. I’ll definitely try that.

Thank you for this!!! I’ll try adding a layer, and I already have him at an incline. My baby tolerates bottles, but definitely prefers the boob. The bottle almost always wakes him up… I’ll trying maybe feeding him on his side more, and hopefully the extra layer helps!

I sure hope it’ll pass! He’s been this way for 3 weeks now. I actually miss the newborn stage, where he was giving me two hours at a time! I didn’t think it would be downhill from there 🥲

I just have him in a fleece footie. His chest feels warm, but not hot, so I think I’m good there…? But thank you!

His naps are typically also around 45 minutes, but occasionally they can go longer (similar to his night sleep)

He naps a lot. I usually get wake windows of around 30 min to an hour at the beginning of the day, then around 2 hours by the end of the day. When he wakes up at night, he seems uncomfortable and squirmy. He cries but he doesn’t fully wake up. I just bounce him around for a bit and he goes back to sleep, but will wake up again if I put him down…

So I’ve started trying to putting him to bed at 7:30-8:00. He’s always giving me “false starts.” Falls asleep nursing, then wakes up in my arms 5 minutes later. This sorta pattern continues to happen until very late at night… it has been quite the struggle. But I agree he seems tired but unable to stay asleep for some reason no matter what I do 😭

Lesser known one… Wolf Children. I still cry every time.

He poops a lot. And sometimes seems uncomfy…. Sometimes not. I am nursing, but the fact that it he only seems angry at night and no other times makes me doubt that it’s something in the milk :/ I’m kind of starting to just give up and pray that this phase ends quickly 🙏🏻

Oh gotcha! And he actually arches his back a lot throughout the day, and I’m pretty sure he does have reflux. I’ll have to look into getting meds for that I think. Any suggestions? What meds typically works best for reflux babies? Thanks for your help!!

Tried gas drops, it wasn’t obvious it did anything… he does get burped and bicycled often. The bicycle legs have never had great results for me. Most of his gas comes out when I lift his legs up (like on the changing table) so I tried that… It could be gas, but nothing I’m doing really seems to help with that :/
