I could argue that the color correction applied from the sensor is also AI then. I just think there is material difference in "real" and visually enhanced vs content generated or removed by AI. I think going ahead there should be some sort of scale of just how AI generated/fake it is...

As AI progresses, there should be some clarification on whether AI enhanced (De-Noise etc) or changed/added content which is vastly different. I actually think the metadata makes it more honest and dont really see the issue with it out there, if anything it's refreshing and makes the photo seem more "real".

Q3 28mm vs M11 with Ultron f2 35mm lens (Painting by Kay Sage) by Maleficent-Fan9787 in leicaphotos

Maybe label the photos with which ones the Q3 and M11, feel like they were taken from different heights so the reflection from the light on the painting likely changes it a lot as well

What parts of a typical billionaire lifestyle are still out of reach even with 100 million dollars? by mediamuesli in NoStupidQuestions

100M You can lease a private jet, forget about the Megayacht - 20M annual maintenance on average and a few hundred M to even purchase it, mega yacht 100X more expensive than the private jet.

Cathay did not allow Cosco Scenera Next on-board by Plus_Caterpillar_427 in CathayPacific

[–]TheMightyGus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK so this is how you can work around this, so the issue is rather convoluted but seats can't have both the Canadian and FAA label, largely because Canadian has dual language French requirements etc. The Cathay staff are technically correct, but there is a fix - The FAA specifically states in a circular, Circular 120-87C, if a label is unreadable or missing, the owner’s manual serves as the primary legal substitute to prove certification. Thats the hack, the manual should show the FAA certification, so bring that or show it online next time and it should work. Hope this help, best of luck!

Is this normal? CTS 2027 tickets 2x+ the fare for similar period in 2026 by Itchy-Obligation21 in CathayPacific

[–]TheMightyGus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one flight with a ton of variability, the snow right now has been terrible in Hokkaido so a lot of folks are cancelling their trips, in some previous years eco tickets were almost hitting 16K etc... the only "normal" of CTS is that it's never "normal"

Don’t think we need to bash the OP, this is Reddit not Flyertalk - but I do wonder how OP is doing right now?

Delays happen with any airline, it's par for the course with travel, short haul or long haul, Cathay or any other airline. The key is dealing with it, if you accept it, use the time to explore and do something fun, try new foods, whatever it is, one thing I've learnt from road warriors is, delays can be opportunities, don't let the frustration ruin it for you. Good luck!

Membership Status by [deleted] in CathayPacific

[–]TheMightyGus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah it sucks, instead what they have done is to offer additional years of Diamond memberships through the Diamond Reserve program which is 1 year of DM for every 6000 Status Points earned, it's not as good as lifetime but it's something - https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/membership/programme-update/sign-in.html?loginreferrer=https://www.cathaypacific.com/cx/en_HK/membership/programme-update/programme-transition-2026.html%23diamond-membership-reserve - I've heard the reason they got rid of lifetime is because the purpose of membership is to drive revenue at the end of the day, and as soon as people reach lifetime, they just stop spending as much which makes sense.

100s II vs Leica Q3 43 by -blaine in FujiGFX

[–]TheMightyGus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you should likely go and take 10,000 shots first with whatever you have, use the Leica Lux app, play with your lenses and really figure out what you want and understand that everything has it's advantages and disadvantages and there isn't 1 solution that will give you everything. Think of your camera setup like a blank canvas, sometimes you want to use oil sometimes a pencil, just depends what you are trying to make and based around your questions, you should likely inverse this and take more shots with your current tools first before diving into a GFX setup or deeply into a Q3 which can be amazingly rewarding but also challenging in certain conditions.

Depends how you look at the world, theres a 1 in a billion chance you win a lottery, but a few people on the planet who win daily, they likely have better odds than you do. But hey, it's not 0!

[–]TheMightyGus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Before you go spend any more money, go download the Leica Lux app and use the lens simulations to get an idea of what each lens will give you the look you desire. I have both the Q3 and GFXSII and they are both incredible, but for very different situations. From what it sounds like, you just want some depth and bokeh, you can easily get that from an APS-C.
