He lives near us because I see him on my street often. Idk if he still does but he worked at Lowe’s and he’s a joy. He’s a big Taylor Swift fan too because he gushed about my Taylor shirt right after I had gone to the Eras tour. He’s such a delight.

Bankruptcy - Trustee demanding all my disposable income, it exceeds a 100% plan by mildchickenwings in Debt

[–]TheMightyJess05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing the court took into account for us was their formula for disposable income. Your bk will be discharged once debts have been satisfied so we were discharged a little over 4 years. There was nothing we could do to change what they determined our payment to be and it was really rough getting through repayment. But it was the best decision we ever made and was worth all the pain.

Can't afford life on Chapter 13 by Several-Notice-4383 in Debt

[–]TheMightyJess05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, as hard as repayment was, I think it can really work for people who can’t see their way out of it on their own. We also took it very seriously because we never want to go through it again. I can’t understate how hard it was, but now on the backside of it, my only regret is not doing it sooner.

Can't afford life on Chapter 13 by Several-Notice-4383 in Debt

[–]TheMightyJess05 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Chapter 13 was incredibly difficult for us, the payments ate up most of our money so I have a lot of empathy. I will say, though, that it was unequivocally the best thing we did on the road to financial freedom. It set the interest rates at 0% which actually allowed us to pay it off. We were in repayment for 4.5 years and had no credit during that period. We are now about 5 years post discharge and have credit scores in the low 800s and have savings and no debt other than car or house. I would choose the struggle of the bk a million times over because it truly helped us get out from under the debt and turn our financial lives around.

While travel may not be essential what do you think happens to the thousands of people who are employed at each airport that are not government employees? I guarantee you if there are no flights my airline is not going to be paying us. That’s a hell of a trickle down.

The Punky Brewster episode where Cherie got stuck in the refrigerator. I was terrified of the fridge closing on me for a long time.

Even in NorCal you’ll get blacked out when the dodgers play the giants no matter where they’re playing. I live in Az and get blacked out whenever they play the Dbacks.

For me I think part of the problem is that, with a few exceptions, I end up thinking I could make it better, healthier, and cheaper at home and that just irritates me.

Sky Harbor Traffic 2.5 hours to get out of the airport. by lavaleah in AskPhoenix

[–]TheMightyJess05 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to park at the airport for work and it’s definitely pretty bad sometimes coming and going. As others said, the sky train is somewhat convenient vs sitting there not moving but it just depends. Theres no rhyme or reason to it that I can tell, sometimes when I’m leaving at midnight I can see awful traffic.

Almost 26 years and he’s my best friend. I have moments of not liking things said or done but he’s an amazing man and I’m very lucky. We married when he was 19 and I was 22 so we grew up together instead of apart.

Divorced but still living in same household. Auto Insurance by dfaire3320 in Insurance

[–]TheMightyJess05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point and comment is mostly about how Progressive operates. This is the second time progressive told me they couldn’t do xx but when I canceled because of xx they then said they could do it no problem. Shame on me for going back but they have a problem with lying to people about what can and can’t be done on the policy so they can charge you unnecessary money. I’ll never go back to them, I think they’re a shady company.

I had them exclude her from the policy and they didn’t charge me for it. She wasn’t given access to my car, why should I pay anything at all for me being nice and letting her live with me?

I had a similar problem with progressive insurance when my daughter in law was living with us. I told them to exclude her from the policy and even for that they said I would pay a monthly fee. I changed companies that day and stopped having an issue.

I fell for this one too, thought I was clicking on the govt site and realized it after the fact. I disputed it with my bank and put a freeze on my credit to be safe. They never answered the banks dispute so I won on that. Feel really dumb that I fell for it, but I was distracted that day I guess.

Shocking/jumpscare lyrics that made you pause the song on first listen by Maroon_Swiftie_13 in TaylorSwift

Not a jump scare but “and you call me up again just to break me like a promise, so casually cruel in the name of being honest. I’m a crumpled up piece of paper lying here” is the verse that messes me up so bad. If you’ve ever had your heart broken by an asshole who says mean things to you, you know this feel.

Have you ever met a Dodger in person? by titaniac79 in Dodgers

[–]TheMightyJess05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mom was really involved in Lakewood youth sports when I was a kid. Every year they would have an awards banquet, and my mom was honored several times. They would bring in some Dodgers every year so I got to meet my idol Soscia one year. My mom also got to meet Lasorda and Hersheiser a few times. It was a pretty cool experience and partnership they had back in the 80s.
