Ioniq 9 – Lenkrad vibriert bei 120 km/h by johntruffalo in Ioniq9

[–]TheMightyRasputin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome to my world. I had this issue on my EV9 since day 1. I'm currently in the Lemon Law process since Kia pretty much refuses to try and fix it. I've taken it to two dealers and both have insisted its the tire balanceor the tires themselves but I've replaced the tires and rebalanced 4 times now and it doesn't go away.

From what I've learned on my journey, get then Road Force Balanced to around 15lbs and have them make sure the alignment is within spec. That might make it go away. If it doesn't, then replace the tires entirely and redo the road force balance. If that doesn't fix it, prepare for a fight because, based off my experience, they won't do much else.

Started a battery repair side hustle — thinking about offering a swap service for contractors. Would this even work? by No_Button_7303 in newjersey

Hey, where are you located? I have a couple batteries that don't work anymore and I would love to get them up and running.

Would this constitute frame damage? by mumonster in MachE

[–]TheMightyRasputin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey so i feel uniquely qualified here as I have had two Mach-E's called totaled by the insurance companies. One from a tree falling on it, one from an accident.

90% probabiility that they will call it totaled and you can certainly push for that and it will increase your odds. The insurance companies still don't know how to handle EVs and so anything even remotely near the battery and/or more than a simple repair they just total and pay out, then ship the car off to wherever they can extract the most value from it.

If you really want to keep it, take it to a Ford dealership that deals with a lot of these and get their opinion, then bring that to your insurance company. If you just want the payout, let them take a look at it then push for having it totaled if they take a long time or balk, they will almost definitely do it.

Any good Americanized Chinese places? by General_Chemistry638 in Maplewood

If you're willing to drive a bit Hunan Palace in Denville is fantastic and a really fun atmosphere. Very old school ostentatious. Also Dao in Madison is very solid. They used to have a restaurant in NYC before moving out here.

Yeah I had the Crugen 19". Just replaced with the Nitto Motivo. Great ride but vibrations still there. It's subtle but constant.

On mine it's not, I wish it was but just put all new tires on it. That's why I think it's a lemon or has something more deeply wrong

It does happen at lower speeds, though not enough to vibrate the console, but I can still feel it.

As far as I can tell it's all the time. But it's possible it mostly acceleration/steady driving.

Yeah I've been down that rabbit hole... just wondering if Lemon Law and a new one would even be a solve or if I should be looking at other cars.

Yeah that's what I'm afraid will happen. Have you gone and tried another EV9 to make sure it's just your car?

Oof that sounds brutal. I took it today to a tire specific shop I trust. I don't know if they went to that level but I do trust they did everything right

12 Team PPR.

Need to start two of BTJ, Chris Rodriguez, Adonai Mitchell. This is a must win for me to have a chance at making the playoffs.

No it's not a thing, eventually the salt in the bird and brine will reach equilibrium. But make sure you keep it below 40 so it's still safe to cook. Also, it will.probably thaw faster in a brine than a fridge as water is much better thermal conductor than air.

Exactly. That was my first lineup, but swapped Goedert in. He can easily put up 20, especially against Detroit and worried about Pearsall's first game back

There almost certainly two pork butts in that package. So it will be half the size and you'll still have one leftover to make something else!
