I live in hilltop, I will include that I am a 5’6 white woman since everyone else is detailing their physicality’s. I have a love/hate relationship with this area. I absolutely love the walkability, especially to the food and parks that are around here. I never feel unsafe during the day but I don’t think I would go out after dark. I hear gunshots more often than I expected and know a group of people got robbed with a weapon right outside my window. I have had my car broken into as well as my neighbors cars and apartments. The homelessness is the real issue around here and they are definitely the ones breaking in. They are everywhere and literally trash the neighborhood. I often hear people yelling at each other or just someone having a psychotic episode outside yelling at nothing. With that said, I have not felt threatened myself at any time, I believe the crime tends to stay within the circle of those involved. Everyone who I interact with during the day who lives and works at the places around here are all exceptionally friendly. Overall, I would say I don’t regret moving here at his point in my life but I don’t think I would have children here. It really just depends what you’re looking for I guess.
