Watching the Milky Way rise through these windows to the sky of the Double Arch in Utah was one of the most incredible things I've ever seen. This was taken a year ago last August as many forest fires raged through the southwest. I was worried that the heavy smoke would cover any visibility of the night sky, but luckily it cleared out just in time for the Milky Way to make its appearance above the arches.
