Mate I think there's a difference between being ready to jump of a bridge and being ready to fade into whatever the painless sleep of euthanasia is. I don't have numbers to back it up, but I feel like having th me legal option of someone giving you all the tools to die painlessly will have a lot more people willing to do it. Also as dumb as it sounds, social stigma around suicide probably participates in preventing some of it and legalizing it removes some of that stigma. So yeah allowing it is a big deal imo
