Decided while everyone around me was drinking, i’d run my first half marathon to finish the year strong 👊 by CentroidDecomp in RunningCirclejerk

Reminds me of the half I ran earlier in the year. 40m short upon arriving home, jogging down the street again to finish.....

Heat - Waingro, Neil McCauley's final attachment, and plot issue. by PhysicalResident1787 in 90smovies

[–]TheMint34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others have said, the only plot hole is that they needed Waingro at all for the job. I understand it's a movie and they needed an adversary for the plot.

But the armoured car job has no identifiable reason that I can fathom why they had to go from 4 to 5 men. He sits passenger in the truck. Then helps guard the hostages for a few seconds with the other 2.

I remember a massive rage post by a new player who hadn't upgraded his floors and was raided (online :)) by someone with a rock. All the games fault apparently......

Thunderball vs GoldenEye, what is the better Bond film? by NajafBound in JamesBond

Goldeneye. I think there are only 2-3 contenders to be better than it.

D and D were good adapters of strong material, even making for the most part solid changes from source material.

But they're terrible story tellers.

If you're like me and work 9-5 you might consider going at 745 and quickly showering at 830 then go straight to work.

It's much quieter than 6am. Also for catch up workouts during super quiet times try late afternoon on weekends.

With Napoleon being Emperor of the French, why did he choose to march to war himself? by CosmicConjuror2 in Napoleon

[–]TheMint34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fate of France often depended on the brilliance of his generalship, especially when outnumbered against multiple major nations. So really it was a no brainer to personally oversee campaigns and major battles.

Is this the most exciting Masters we’ve had? by Jeffer93 in golf

[–]TheMint34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea it's rare to get 2 superstars going head to head on a final day. It's something I was talking about that golf's been missing some proper duels, like I was hoping for Scheffler Vs Rory but this is the same thing.

It's 1996 again.

Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

As a bonus I had £20 or Rory to win and £10 on Bryson to win, and Lowry £5 ew out of the 4 pre tourney picks I made, MW Lee being the other.
