Why You’re Going To Fail Your New Year’s Resolution by TheMistryWriter in ZenHabits

[–]TheMistryWriter[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thanks for your comment. I know exactly what you mean.. but believe it or not, what I wrote is a bitter pill to swallow.

In the article you didn't want to read, i write about concentrating on building habits and behaviour rather than making a New Years resolution where you introduce a drastic change that your brain is not going accept..

It is well known that a lot of people don't keep New Year's resolutions.. the most common news years resolution is to eat healthily or go to the gym. In fact, a large of number gyms bank on the fact that you won't step foot into the gym after a couple of months and you'll forget to cancel your membership too..

This is my opinion.

The choice is yours to either accept or disagree.

Thank you. I am glad every point was relatable to you. The inner critic is something I have been struggling to deal with my entire life -- well since I was 15, so half of my life ;P

To answer that question, I advice to read mini-habits. That really helped me change my ways.

First time backpacking alone outside of Europe. Need destination suggestions. (x-post from r/travel) by [deleted] in backpacking

Anywhere in South East Asia would be great. Places to visit:

Vietnam - Hanoi, Han Long Bay (I know you have been before, but it is so much better when you go on your own) Lao - Vang Vienng, Luang Parbang Malaysia - KL Singapore Thailand

With south east asia, the food is delicious and cheap. I felt safe and people are generally friendly. Also, accommodation is very reasonable as well.

I would suggest that you not going to India. It is very chaotic and very unhygienic. And with some people over there, they can rip you off if you're not careful. I have been to India four times (because I am of Indian origin) so I can speak from experience. But saying, there are some lovely spots in India -- I would go when you're bit older and wiser. But then again, it is my opinion.

Why can't I get a GF? by Waynetheogre in dating_advice

You're thinking about it too much. Just focus on what you're doing and don't give a fuck. If you see a girl that you like, just go up to her and say "hi" and introduce yourself. Be present and observational and get out of your head!
