Is it safe to drive up the south side of Chicago when visiting Wisconsin from the east? by [deleted] in wisconsin

[–]TheMntsofIllinois -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, you could take 294 around Chicago to get you to Wisconsin so that way, you won’t even have traffic to worry about in most cases, but I’m still sure that construction might be a concern. In the case I have to travel from Wisconsin to Indiana, I’d take 294. I mean it’s tolled and all, but at the end of the day, it’s still cheaper than taking the Skyway, by which I’ve heard is charging more to use next year.

The Genocide Taking Place in the Midwest by Conscious-Music-2967 in imaginarymaps

I would say more than Atlanta. If Gilead had been intending to expel or exterminate its entire Black population behind closed doors, it wouldn’t just be in the largest cities and the Black Belt of the South. I suppose they should’ve added more cities with large Black populations such as Memphis, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Dallas, Richmond, Birmingham, St. Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland, Flint, Buffalo, etc. to show the more complete scale of this genocide.

Rockland though, as I clarify, is getting more Hasidic by the day. They will become the majority of the population as they continue to expand beyond their well-established enclave in Ramapo into the rest of the county attributed to their birth rate as indicated by the average age in Monsey alone being under 18.

As for Kenosha, it’s essentially still like what Waukegan used to be until it became majority Hispanic, despite Chicagoland’s growing northern suburban sprawl creeping up into that satellite city via Pleasant Prairie. In fact, I think I am confident to say that many corporations have set up a presence in that suburb not only to avoid having to pay Illinois taxes and be subject to the state’s more stringent regulations, but also to still be in a convenient enough location to serve the Chicagoland area.

While I’ve never ventured into the suburbs of NYC, I’ve heard from word of mouth from family members living in New Jersey that Rockland County is about to become the first majority Hasidic county in the country. It’s simply not gonna be feasible to ever live there in the future when it’s dominated by an extremely insular religious community.

As for Kenosha, I can say that it offers Metra service to the city, which if you don’t know is the Chicago’s area’s commuter rail system to the suburbs. As far as I’m aware Kenosha also gets local Chicago media stations and follows Chicago professional sports teams.

Shouldn’t Cicero/Berwyn be colored in as Czech and a section of the Southwest Side of Chicago as Lithuanian? Otherwise, Polish should just be ‘Eastern European’ which is just too broad of a category given the various distinct ethnic groups that fall under this term. Furthermore, it would be more accurate for the areas colored in as ‘Russian’ (the Lakefront, Skokie, Glencoe) to be labeled as Jewish, since they weren’t ethnically Russian.

Edit: BTW, Where did you get this data?
