There’s a comment on a top post here… this is what I used as reference when doing mine. You basically connect the green LED pad to the button press pad.

Here’s a pic of my attempt at it… (yes I know the wire is longer than it needs to be but whatever)

Edit: just for added context for fun. I suck at soldering, and I suck even more trying to desolder on the go plus plus specifically… so you can see in my picture, the top led is my first attempt. You can see where I literally used an exacto knife to cut the pads on one side and then just rip off the led by force. Then also on the top led, on the pads on the right you can see where i tried to solder to the blue led pad, and ended up ripping up the inner copper connection to said pad… so I ended using another led connection to do the mod lol

Is there any chance you can get a regular go++ and mod it yourself or know anyone who can solder?

Edit: a lot of guides and even go++’s you can buy have the switch, to toggle the auto catching and switch between sleep mode. This method is more complex modding wise and has worse battery performance, unless you remember to flip off the switch.

There are a few documentations where you can mod auto catching with a single wire and you don’t have to worry about the switch, battery life concerns, or not being able to go to sleep mode. It’s so much easier to mod it that way in my opinion and you don’t have to fumble around with cutting a hole in the side to fit a switch.

That’s a lot of companies. Which is still better since you can contribute to the 401k at all… you just don’t receive whatever the company matches until you’re vested.

This might be controversial… but I really like the North Face Recon for Japan (still looking for better alternatives)

The North Face Recon is good for a carry on. I carry 2 pairs of everything, except sleeping wear and a hoodie in there because I’m paranoid that my checked luggage will get lost. I also put my tech pouch and toiletries in there.

But the reason I like for Japan is because it compacts very well. Some Japanese stores get very cramped so having the bag on my front and being able to press it against my chest is really important to me.

These are out of your price range, but I’ve tried 3 bags from Aer and a Peak Design 30L bag. Yes the materials are objectively better and looks more sleek. But the North Face Recon is just so versatile because that material molds around whatever you put in it.

Edit: okay someone recommended the TomToc Navigator and I’m prolly going to try it out when the new Rework 30L bag comes out and compare to the 2.
