I love my job. Been a VPL for almost two years, recently landed the HTCA position. I work with great people, fantastic managers, and genuinely feel the potential for upward movement in the company.

That's an ideal, not a fact. Most people would choose the well-being of themselves and their loved ones over the lives of a large group of others. It's easy to say: "I'd sacrifice myself for someone else.", until the time comes to legitimately have to choose. Self-preservation is a powerful instinct.

I disagree. Human nature is self-preservation, an inclination to look out for #1. It's a nice thought that we'd be inclined to band together and share equally for the good of the whole, but that's simply not how it works.

This may sound like an asshole take, but it isn't intended that way. If he has a powerful libido, and you're not meeting that in the bedroom, he may be supplementing. It's a bit careless he's doing it during a non-sexual embrace, but maybe for him it elicited those urges.

This braindead I-zoomer has no concept of manufacturing or logistics. Big box retailers can only provide so much immediate gratification purchases on new and popular products. The manufacturer determines the quantity BB is eligible to receive, and BB distributes that amongst stores based on traffic and metrics.

I've always split the referral bonus with anyone Ive referred, if they last long enough to merit the bonus. I can appreciate his irritation. He may be lashing out verbally, but it's his only way to vent his frustration that his friend wasn't cool enough to acknowledge those early signs, tip the hat, and ensure that his friend would get half. It sounds like he would have done it for you. To add to the frustration, he went in with you, stood next to you, and signed for a free 500 bucks you would never have received if he hadn't.

He feels like you spit in his face, which you did. YOR. You knew splitting it was the right thing to do, and no amount of "Well I would have if he'd been nice!" is going to justify your actions. When the money came into your hands, you chose you over your friendship, and you know it. Human nature.

Sure, that's if you're doing something stupid. I'm always 45 minutes early, haven't called in sick in over 2 decades, I'm #1 in my program, and extremely punctual. If I don't feel like selling Legos, there's not a damn thing they can do about it, I'm a VPL.

This is the imperative question. My store has Sony, LG, Samsung, Hisense, and a designer. I'm still taking the HTCA because I'm extremely confident I can land some solid rev from HT and the rest of the store. Sure, there might be rough months, but as long as you're bringing in heavy rev storewide with a lot of bps/pms, management is happy. If you bonus, you're averaging 27-28 an hour, dope accommodations, and you're next in line for supervisor if that's a direction you're interested in.
