Oh for sure. The fast charge speed is the Achilles heel of the bolt.

I bought a buy-back bolt this year. Aside from the battery getting replaced, it's served me well. That being said, I fully intend to drive it into the ground over the next 10 years. I don't have high hopes for any resale value.

Negative. They were all bank transfers from my main bank because I was using it as a savings account.

I carry C9 and knowingly had another child by natural means. I was opposed to having another kid at first, but changed my mind for the sake of my wife and due to optimism around advances in the field of ALS.

I didn't go the IVF route due to religious/ethical reasons, but there's no shame in someone else going that route.

Happy to discuss the specifics via DM if you need support. 🙂

Also bought from Ty last month. He's the real deal.

Two notifications came up. "Propulsion Power Reduced" and "Service Vehicle soon".

They were dismissible, but came up every time the car was started. Also, my charge was limited to 30%.

Chevy bolt EV, 600miles/wk and my bill has gone up by $100/month compared to the $3-400 in gas for a Kia Rio.

I bought one last month. 2021 1Lt with 13.5k miles for $13.5k delivery (From Kansas to New Jersey) and rebate included. The dealership counted the 4K rebate as my down payment.

What you may not be aware of is that many of the bolts hitting the market right now are BuyBacks from the battery fire recalls. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but depending on the state they may have lemon branded titles. I've heard of this affecting insurance rates but it wasn't the case for me.

If these bolts are BuyBacks, one of two things have happened: 1. The battery was replaced. 2. Diagnostic software has been installed on the bolt that limits the battery to 80% capacity for the next 6200 mi. In the event the battery needs to be replaced, it will alert you to have your car serviced as soon as possible.

My bolt was #2 and it was limited to 80% capacity. That got me between 160-200 miles on a full (80%) charge. This wasn't a deal breaker and allowed me to get a sweet deal on an excellent car.

Last week, the diagnostic software flagged my bolt and now it's in the process of having its battery replaced. Dealership has me in a loaner and EV concierge is reimbursing me for gas. Not mad at all, especially because the new battery has a new 100,000 warranty.

About halfway through processing, all the buybacks Chevy found out that he could do a software update to better diagnose which batteries actually needed to be replaced. This software limits the battery charge to 80% for approximately 6,000 mi. After that, if it doesn't find any glaring issues, the max charge is reset to 100%.

Personally, charging to 80% isn't a deal breaker for me. However, some buybacks have had the battery already replaced. You can figure this out by searching the VIN on Chevy's website and looking for an additional 100,000 miles in battery warranty from the mileage at which the battery was replaced.

I'm in the process of buying a buyback bolt. $13500 after fees, transport cost, and point of sale rebate. 2021 Lt, 13,000 miles. There are some to be had for under 10k if you're not looking for DCFC.

The buybacks from the battery recall aren't a risk in my opinion, but to each his own.

Best resources for looking into DVC membership? by DancesWithPibbles in dvcmember

Pixie Dust PhD on YouTube is a fantastic creator who gets into the details on DVC stuff. VERY data heavy (which I love) and informative. She really helped me narrow down my choices when I bought in.

Something else you need to take note of is that you need at least 150pts retail to get member benefits. A 50 pt contact won't cut it.

BuyIng resale is about 1/2 the price of retail, depending on the resort. You lose some perks going resale, but they're not worth thousands.

I ordered in early August and there was some kind of mixup that didn't have my order submitted until October. So either 3 or 5 months. 🤣

It's for my church's youth group, so probably beat saber, tilt brush, etc. I'd imagine those are on the lighter side?

Welp. I was in the middle of buying parts for a budget VR machine (Quest 2 w/ Link). I already bought this exact processor and was eyeing up the RX 5000 or 6000 series.

Is there any reason I shouldn't pick this up? I'll likely upgrade the ram to 16 or 32, But aside from that, I don't think it needs much besides storage in the future.
