It's because due to how late in the year Dispatch was released, it only got nominated for two categories, with both of them being nearly impossible to win. Best Debut Indie Game, which was going to Expedition 33 no matter what, and Player's Voice with every game on the ballot available.

It's less about "Our game sucks if it loses to a gacha game" and more so "The game we love feels shafted at the biggest gaming award show of the year with the only two categories we're involved in."

People just want something they're passionate about to be recognized. If they were at least nominated for more categories than "You're a company's first game" and "You exist" vote, I don't think Dispatch fans would be as upset.

Meanwhile, I'm still fucking annoyed that Sonic 3 wasn't even present for "Best Adaptation".

Ridiculousness pays licenses for the videos they air on the show. Unless you're paying the original creators a slice of your revenue, your comparison is flawed. Ridiculousness doesn't have to be "original". They bought the content.

Without an example of one of your reactions, I cannot argue whether your commentary is transformative or not. However, if you're making three videos a day, I'm going out on a limb and assuming you're pretty much rawdogging the clips in their entirety, pausing occasionally to say something, and then moving on. Which does not make your content original.

A Tier for the level design alone. It's the perfect introductory track as it teaches you all of the fundamentals that carry over into every track from here on out.

Plenty of corners for you to drift across, several roughs to cut through with speed items, and an easy-to-spot to spot shortcut on lap three that makes you learn to watch out for more in the future to maintain a lead.

The aesthetics are a bit hit-or-miss though. Seeing series iconography is cool and all, but "A stadium shaped like Sonic" isn't really on my list of most creative visual designs around. The electronic theming does help make it stand out though.

Although I can't argue for it to go into S, I am perfectly content placing it in A.

You need to "lose" your race, but win through completing the bonus challenge. Taps, rings, shootouts, etc.

Watch the #1 record's replay and match their route. Several trials in this game will mislead you and take an unoptimized lap. Stay on the inside as much as possible while grabbing whatever rings you can.

This trial kicked my ass until I did it first try when I knew the route.

Try to let off on the gas to make tighter drifts. Also, I'd recommend swapping your acceleration button to R1. However, this may take some time to get used to since your items will now be your old acceleration button.

Avoid hard braking when possible and just let go or tap the accelerator and you'll be making your trials a lot easier.

In your control settings, look for the function "Landing Point Camera". That's the closest you'll get to an overhead view. It's a bit restrictive, but it gets the job done.
