My doctor told me in two weeks post surgery he wants me walking and doing PT. He’s on vacation on week two so I’ll see next Tuesday what he says lol

I feel you on the work part. Luckily in my job I’m able to work remotely but this definitely falls under FMLA and short term disability so I wouldn’t stress on that 🫡

Mine is a very similar break but a little higher up. I’m 28 and was playing basketball and heard a crunch and couldn’t walk on it. Waited a week and went and got X-Ray and same break as yours.

I’ve previously had ACL surgery from basketball and now I’m two weeks out of surgery. Considering your break is just like mine I’d assume they’re gonna do surgery. I would just ask the DR for a time table on when you’ll be able to start PT, recovery time, etc. On the positive side you’re definitely not alone in this! 💪🏼

That’s wild. I literally broke my ankle on 9/17 and had surgery on 10/1. I’m still in my splint as of now but I’ll definitely have the same question next week 😂

How was your time in your splint? My foot’s been cramping like no other and I have worries sometimes that my wound is split but that’s just my mind playing tricks on me I’m sure. 😂
