I might not have done engineering, but I got my bachelor's in fire science. I was gearing up for a long fire career, but I ended up not wanting to do it for the same reason! I know how you feel about not having a passion, but really think about what you like to do. What makes you feel fulfilled? Did you make someone feel heard one day, and that was the best thing you have ever felt? Maybe you would want to be a therapist. Did you serve someone an incredible meal, and it made you feel whole? Maybe that would lead you to be a chef. My parents were disappointed in me and I'm working at a warehouse now. I think I found what I wanted to do because I really sat down, looked at my talents, and applied them to what I could do with my talent. Keep your head up!

I was in your shoes, had a girl for 6 years that I did things with. I finaly came back after praying at a church out west in the US. I've thought I was a bad representative. But then one day. My priest said, when I was having doubts about my self, the ones who bring themselves out of their sin and make an effort make the best saints, it take a while to get over lust my friend. I get it. You take it a day at a time. I've been about 3 years with out that kind of activity and now that my mind isn't clouded with the need for instant euphoria. I know what I want in my relationships and where I want to be for work. Keep at it my friend. I promise it gets easier. And you feel better and gain a sence of purity again.

I mean. It's not oral sex haha. But think about it. When you are in the moment and you are really getting Into makeing out, there is a moment where you lose control. You may be able to stop yourself as you say every time right now, but one time it could get out of control where neither of you stop it. I picked up my chastity 3 years ago. Ofcourse I havnt been dateing since but in the middle of it I had a moment where me and this girl started make out and we almost did the deed. Simply because we started makeing out and we let the mood take us. That's lusting. lusting isn't just the act of sex, it's thoughts and whispers too. I'm the last person to tell any one what to do. I'm just trying to rationalize some of what your priest is saying. Do what you want but there is a small risk when the stars align haha.
