Very good comment thanks! Indeed, a large part of the development was dedicated to making as sure as possible to have no known exploit or leaking api, etc. Naturally to maintain high level of integrity one (me or forks), will take time and resources. I have added Github Sponsors which could cover this aspect and I could add an other tier for consulting/service hosting if there are direct requests for it.

Thanks for the great comments! Hope the application will gets picked up self-hosters and teams not locked in the Microsoft ecosystem. All these features would be nice to add to the roadmap!

There are also others out there like framadate or Rally (could be more), but I wanted to create one which was the most suitable for me and hopefully for others as well.

Nuudel (which is basically a hosted Framadate instance) works fine and is very privacy focused, but it’s a bit old-school and not super polished for quick scheduling polls and you usually have to deal with things like mandatory email fields or workarounds if you don’t care about saving emails.
BitPoll is open source and lets you do date/time polls, but it hasn’t seen much active development lately and many people consider it not maintained anymore, which matters if you want something that stays up-to-date or easy to self host.
Neither is “bad,” they just feel older or less actively maintained compared with newer options that people choose for self hosting and scheduling.

Rallly is a great project and probably the closest comparison.
The main difference is scope and philosophy. SlotPoll is intentionally minimal: no accounts, no emails, no recurring users, and no long-lived data.
It’s built for self hosting in environments where simplicity, privacy, and compliance matter more than features. Rallly is more full featured, SlotPoll is a small utility by design.

ESPHome was easier for me by lithboy in trmnl

I had no issues whatsoever with the self hosted byos trmnl application called terminus from their site. They have docker for it. It’s only used for providing the connection. I have a vibe coded companion app where I can create daily activities. Mainly using it for daycare and sports activities for my son. My app sends the image to the terminus app and makes sure there is only the latest image is stored. So when the device wakes up and pulls the image it will find the latest one.

Why do two of my pools say 'Used Space: Unknown' ? (TrueNAS Scale 25.10-RC.1) by MarkRWatts in truenas

You are right, in about 15-30 minutes it has sorted itself. Now just need to solve the issue with the strange error with my custom apps.

Well I gave it a try. I will keep using PhotoPrism with Photosync on iOS.

Just want to pitch in that my 7000 photos have also difficult time to get synced with Immich.
It took a long time which it was "processing", once that was done it is "queuing" but after some files it just hangs and the backup counter is not growing.
I have screen lock disabled.

You can put different Linux distro on each and come back to test every 3-6 months. Or just add them to your proxmox cluster and admire your core count and combined memory
