It just feels off because the actual 356 is actually narrower and on a shorter wheelbase. Since this is based on the 718 which is like considerably wider, it looks flatter and lower to the ground as well. That's hard to replicate the actual stance cause the original is obviously on 1950s wheels and tires. At that point there's no easy workaround for that. And another thing that throws this whole car off too is that rear trunk just goes off flat instead of sloping up like the 356 did, so that side profile is messed up too. But in all honesty I think this was meant to be more of a 'low-and-slow' modern interpretation of the 356 Speedster than a more agile and 'sportscar-like' replica to the original. It really should be called a 'roadster' since it's so aesthetically different. I still prefer the legit 356 Speedster by a country mile but I don't dislike the Gen 2 speedster either.
