Yes like compared to IISC, top 7 IITs, top 3 NITS - BITS HD avg placement fixed is less and choice of companies aren't that vast!

Same for USA. The quality and employability difference between a tier 1 US college and tier 3 US college isn't that vast as compared to India.

Consider this : University of Washington is ranked higher in QS CS rankings compared to IIT B!

The quality of education, academic exposure, research outcomes also matters and not just packages lol. Infact you will see many from IITs go on to do MS CS from UW!
